ISOLADORES PILAR LINE POST INSULATORS

CARACTERfSTlCAS DOS ISOLADORES PILAR DE NUCLEO S6L1DO CHARACTERISTICS OF SOLID-CORE LINE POST INSULATORS

1. Sao imperfuraveis;

2. Mediante alguns artiffcios, sua teosio pede ser elevada;

4. Namesma.largurade faixade utilidade de uma lmha de 38kV, pode-se aumentar a tensao do sistema para 145 kV utilizando as mesmas torres, adaptadas, compactando 0 sistema;

5. Embora a cor normal seja marrom, podem tambem serfomecidosnacorcinza, emcertoscasos melhorando a estetica da insta!ayilo;

6. Mediante 0 usa dedispositivos mecanicos limitadores de carga, pode-se prender finnemente 0 condutor ao topo do isolador, reduzindo a necessidade de urn grande mimero de estruturas de ancoragem. Esses dispositivos .Iimitam as cargas aplicaveis as estruturas, aos condutores e aos isoladores, em caso de acidente (ruptura de cabo 0.0 similar);

7. Os nfveis de radio interfersncia sio extremamente baixos;

8. Os pinos de fixaltiio. uma vez apertados nos isoladores, silO auto-travantes;

Iso I adores Santana line post insulators are available in four versions: vertical, horizontal moun ling or slightly tilted upwards, both tie top conductor binding. and clamp top.

Insulators for lower voltages, as indicated in our catalogue, can be used alternatively for vertical or horizontal mounting.

For higher voltages the position or instnllatiou i~ specified.

Line post insulators represent a con .iderable progress in the installation of transmission and distribution lines.

They can replace and extend the operational voltages of pin type insulators. and have characrerisncs unattainable by pin insulators:

1. Line post arc puncture proof;

2: By means of some special adjustments, its tension can be raised;

3. Can replace pole crossarms:

4. In the same right-or-way of a 38 kV line. it I~ po sible to raise the system voltage to 145 J... V (compacting). using the same lowers

5. Although standard glaze i~ brown, Insulators can be supplied with gray glaze, in some cases bcauruyi ng the structures;

6. By means of application of mechanical load I i mi tauon devices, it is possible to firmly attach the conductor to the top of the insulators, reducing the need of u large number of anchoring structures. Such devices limiuhc loads applicable to the structures. COnUU(;lOr and insulators, in case of an accident (e.g. cable rupture);

. 7. Low incidence of radio interference voltage;

8. Fixing bolts, once tightened on insulators. are self I eking.

The worse the operation conditions are, the larger III!.' range of solutions offered by Isoladores Santana I'm thi type or insurators will be.

Besides such versatility, It is important to remark the additional resources provided by the various classes of mechanical strength normally manufactured.

Both tic top and clamp topconduetor attachment allow the use of conductors with armour rods.

V ANTAGENS NO usa DE ISOLADORES TIPO PILAR:

ADVANTAGES OF TIlE LINE POST INSULA lURS:

I_OW COST OF INSTALLA nON

Normally till: installation of'rransmission lines from 6l) to 138 kv on urban areas of cities need nrclatively wide right-of-way for the steel towers and utilities noi always can secure II convenient and economical way. Sometimes there will be the need property alienations. which increase the costs and affects good relations with public communities,

To overcomethcsedifficuhies the line post wasdcsigncd to enable to biuld compact lines on reel poles. concrete poles or wood poles.

With these structures it will he possible to reach urban areas through the central yards ofthe avenues nr by the sites where low voltage lines passes. avoiding nddirinnal costs and struggle» \\ ith public. and as additional counterparty the aspect of the line will plcase everbody offering a ;lbPCCI 1)1' the line will please cverbody offering a very nice and neal visual,

PROULEl\IS WITU VAN[M.USM

Due to the fact that line post insulators arc solid cored and made with high resistance porcelain - alumina body- which resists common vandalistic impacts like stone throwings and conventional gun xhoot-, it is practically impossible to damage these insulnturs by these means.

With those favourable features these insulutors are specially indicated tor the transmission lines from 7.5 kV up 10 13K kV on the SUburban areas where till: vandalistic actions are 1I10re frequent.

COMUN1CACOES

COMMUNICATIONS LINES

Due to [he very low capacitance of the line PO~[ insulators they are pee i ally i nd icated for high Irequenc y carriertranspcrtation hkethe data transmission because thelosses and attenuation arc extremely low.

MANUTENf;AO EM LINDA VIVA

lNSTALA<;OES EM LOCAlS DE ALTA lNCID:ENCIA DE DESCARGAS

A TMOSFERICAS

ISOLADORESPILAR CLAMPS FOR LINE POST INSULATORS

Clamps for line po~t insulator have been designed so that the conductors can oscilate without creating a preferential bending point. which might produce localized metal futiguc and eventual rupture. The same clamps are u ied for vertical. horizontal or tilted mounting, however. the hardware cemented to the top of the insulator are different, in order 10 allow the clamp o. cilation 10 follow the cable sagging. In both cases the in. ulator bracket: make easier the operation of extending the line before in tailing the clamp .once they permit the placement of flat saddles through which the cable afcly '1 ips.

The series of clamps offered by Santana COVCl'S practically I Ill: whole range of dimensions of'the cables generally used in the regarded electrical systems. The clumps for line post insulators supplied by Isoladore Santunu can be made of aluminium or malleable iron, depending on its application and type of cable to be used.

In case or cxtremelly ather. e surroundings. the conductor may be protected by means of conventional procedures. i.e .. making usc of aluminium stripes or armour rods.
