Abstract: The aim of this study was to identify the scientific production on
the conception and function of affectivity in the EAD da Revista Brasileira de
Aprendizagem Aberta a Distância in the 2002 to 2015 period for both a systematic
review of research was conducted. The data were analyzed by content analysis
adopting the theme as thematic unit. It is met three articles that met the inclusion
criteria. It is concluded that the Affection theme - EAD - teaching and learning
processes is little published in the journal in question; the concept of Affection
used by all authors relates to two central elements: emotion and feeling; the
role of affectivity in the EAD quoted on all items is based on the understanding
that helps Affection, enables, empowers, influences the cognitive development
of the student and is present in different actions and processes that involve the
construction of knowledge of the student.
