Grammar Tips (Dicas de Gramática)

 O Presente Contínuo é utilizado para ações em progresso; que estão acontecendo agora.
A estrutura é bem simples:

Sujeito + TO BE + Verb (...ing) + Complemento

Dave is watching a game now. (Dave está assistindo a um jogo agora.)

 Quando o verbo terminar na letra “e”, ao acrescentar o -ing, a letra “e” some.
dance => dancing take=> taking close=> closing

 Quando o verbo terminar numa sequência de letras Consoante + Vogal + Consoante

(regrinha do CVC) e a sílaba tônica for a última (ou tiver uma sílaba só), dobramos a última
consoante ao acrescentar o –ing.
put => putting stop => stopping run => running
