 Contexto Histórico
O Exército Zapatista de Libertação
Nacional (EZLN) é um movimento político e
armado que surgiu no México, em 1983,
mas ganhou notoriedade em 1994, com o
levante armado liderado pelo EZLN na
região de Chiapas. Esse levante aconteceu
em meio a uma série de problemas sociais
e políticos no México, incluindo
desigualdade, pobreza e marginalização
dos povos indígenas.

 Objetivos
Os objetivos do Exército Zapatista de
Libertação Nacional (EZLN) são centrados
na busca por direitos indígenas, justiça
social e igualdade. O movimento almeja
acabar com a desigualdade, pobreza e
marginalização enfrentadas pelos povos
indígenas no México. Uma demanda
significativa é a reforma agrária, visando
garantir a posse da terra e os meios de
subsistência para as comunidades locais.
