O que é cultura para
sociologia
● A cultura é um conceito amplo que engloba os
valores, normas, crenças, costumes, linguagem
e símbolos compartilhados por um grupo de
pessoas em uma sociedade. Sociólogos como
Emile Durkheim, Max Weber e Geertz
contribuíram para a compreensão da cultura
como um elemento central na vida social.
Emile Durkheim
● Emile Durkheim (1858-1917) foi um dos fundadores da sociologia moderna
● Ele é especialmente lembrado por seu trabalho sobre a "consciência coletiva" e sua
teoria sobre a anomia, que se refere a um estado de desintegração das normas sociais.
● Durkheim também realizou estudos pioneiros sobre o suicídio, buscando entender como
fatores sociais afetam as taxas de suicídio. Sua obra mais influente é "Da Divisão do
Trabalho Social" (1893) e "O Suicídio" (1897).

Max weber
● Max Weber (1864-1920) foi outro proeminente sociólogo e é conhecido por suas teorias
sobre a burocracia, ação social e a relação entre religião e economia.
● Weber introduziu o conceito de "ação social", que se refere ao comportamento humano
que é motivado pelo significado que as pessoas atribuem a ele em um contexto social.
● Ele também desenvolveu uma análise da burocracia como uma forma eficiente de
