Frases

Condicionais do Tipo
2

As frases estruturadas com a First Conditional são

possíveis de acontecer diante das
condições certas. Relembre a estrutura:

If I have money, I will travel to Australia next

semester.

If I had money, I would travel to Australia next

semester.
no próximo semestre.)

Atenção à estrutura da Second Conditional –
Conditional II

Condição: If + Verb (Past): If I had money... (Se eu

tivesse dinheiro...)

Resultado com WOULD → I would travel to Australia

(Eu viajaria para a Austrália.)

If Barry bought a motorcycle, he would stop going to

work by metro.

If you studied in the U.S.A, you would learn English

more quickly.

Kelly would buy a dog if she didn’t live in an

apartment.

If you could live anywhere, where would you like to

live?

We wouldn’t be so stressed if we didn’t argue so

often.

If only I didn’t feel so bad today, I would clean my

bedroom.
limparia meu quarto.)

* É possível utilizar could ou might ao invés de

would.

apartment.

Atenção à essa exceção com o verbo TO BE:

If I were you, I wouldn’t do that. / If I was you...

If my mom were here, she would know what to do. /

If my mom was here...
fazer.)
If it were sunny today, we would go to the beach. / If
it was sunny...
(Se estivesse ensolarado hoje, nós iríamos à praia.)

O verbo To Be no passado sofre um irregularidade na

Conditional II. Não utilizamos was para I, he, she e
it, utilizamos were para todas as pessoas. No

If I was richer, I would travel more.

If Kristina wasn’t always late for work, she would be

promoted.
trabalho, ela seria promovida.)
