➔O “simple present” (presente) utiliza-se
para:
● Factos reais
TO GO – IR
Afirmativa No ‘present simple’
os verbos têm
I GO sempre a mesma
terminação
YOU GO
excepto na terceira
pessoa do singular
HE/ SHE/ IT GOES
WE GO
YOU GO
THEY GO
➔Eu vou à escola → I go to school
precisam de um auxiliar
I DO
YOU DO
TO DO HE/ SHE/ DOES
IT
WE DO
YOU DO
THEY DO
➔O auxiliar ‘to do’ ajuda os verbos fracos a
fazerem negativas e interrogativas.
YOU DO NOT GO
YOU DO NOT GO
THEY DO NOT GO
➔Eu não vou à escola → I do not go
to school
Na 3ª pessoa do singular só
precisamos de conjugar o
auxiliar e não o verbo!
➔No caso de frases interrogativas, tal como
sempre, temos de trocar a posição do verbo
com o nome e acrescentar o auxiliar:
AS HORAS
What time is it? (Que horas são?)
➔Meia-noite→Midnight
Meio-dia → Noon
