TEXT 1 - COPENHAGEN LIGHT FESTIVAL

For the fifth year in a row, the Danish capital Copenhagen was full of beautiful light installations as
the 23-day Copenhagen Light Festival took over the city.

From February 3 until February 26, 2023, the harbor and city space will be lit with illuminated brid-
ges, buildings, and light art, all scattered around the city. You can see light on dark drifting clouds,
beautiful old buildings, architectural squares, and the city’s canals.

Visitors can experience the installations by themselves or join one of the festival’s guided tours
by Segway, canal boat, kayak, or guided walk.

TEXT II - CHINA SOLAR BAN

China may ban the export of technology for solar panels. The country dominates the industry
by controlling at least 75% of its global supply chain. This situation creates repercussions for the
West’s hope to create its own green energy industry.

In the “chip war” between the West and China, America is slowing China’s technological develop-
ment. America restricts the exports of tools and software used to make advanced chips. Chinese
media reported that the ban covers technology and machinery used to create solar panel parts su-
ch as large wafers, black silicon, and ultra-efficient silicon ingots. However, to protect the export
market, the ban doesn’t apply to China’s solar panels themselves.
Western companies have the experience and intellectual property used in the solar industry that
developed in America and Europe. This industry occurred before low-cost China scaled up its pro-
duction and had control. However, building new factories for solar parts would take a few years,
and creating an entire solar supply chain could take four times as long.
Difficult words: repercussion (an unwelcome consequence of an event or action), wafer (a thin slice of an
electronic part), ingot (an unfinished piece of material, usually metal).

painéis solares. Considerando o início do texto: “China may ban the export of technology for
solar panels.”, a possibilidade desse fato ocorrer é...
A. Nula. B. Imprevisível. C. É baixa. D. É alta. E. Mínima.

A. China not may ban the export of technology for solar panels.
B. China may not ban the export of technology for solar panels.
C. China not ban the export of technology for solar panels.
D. China don’t may ban the export of technology for solar panels.
E. China doesn’t may ban the export of technology for solar panels.

11] Ainda nessa frase, como ficaria sua forma interrogativa?

A. Do China may ban the export of technology for solar panels?
B. Does China may ban the export of technology for solar panels?
C. Did China may ban the export of technology for solar panels?
D. Is China may ban the export of technology for solar panels?
E. May China ban the export of technology for solar panels?

12] Se a intenção chinesa fosse mais duvidosa do que aponta o TEXTO 2, como deveríamos
reescrever a frase?
A. China not may ban the export of technology for solar panels.
B. China may not ban the export of technology for solar panels.
C. China not ban the export of technology for solar panels.
D. China don’t may ban the export of technology for solar panels.
E. China doesn’t may ban the export of technology for solar panels.

Boa prova! ^_^
