O Gênesis egípcio de acordo com os mitos de Heliópolis e o Deus Rá.

O conceito egípcio de tempo: os mitos das diferentes cidades não estavam em conflito, os
mitos eram entendidos como realidades paralelas e simultâneas, assim como todas as
transformações de Rá acontecem todas ao mesmo tempo.

O Deus Rá gera a si mesmo. AO nascer é Kef, o escaravelho que empurra o Sol do Leste para o
Oeste. No meio-dia, no auge da sua força, é o Deus com cabeça de falcão, é Rá, o senhor
soberano. E quando se aproxima da sua morte, quando está descendo ao Duat ele é Atum.

A primeira coisa que Rá define é si mesmo. Sai do Caos primordial, define sua estrutura, sua
forma e à partir dai inicia o ato criador de forma escandalosa, alguns dizem que ele cospe,
outros que gera da sua masturbação.
