O conhecimento da língua Inglesa é imprescindível, uma vez que a consulta de livros e revistas na biblioteca, tal como a informação em CD-
roms e a pesquisa na Internet são feitas, na sua maioria, nesta língua. Além disso, há regularmente palestras ou workshops com professores ou
convidados estrangeiros.
Assim, os estudantes recebem no ano propedêutico um curso intensivo de Inglês durante todo ano, em quatro componentes básicas: ‘reading’,
‘speaking’, ‘writing’, ‘listening’ and ‘grammar’, com o objectivo de os estudantes chegarem a um nível que lhes permita continuar o seu estudo
no primeiro ano.
