TOUGH, THOUGH, THOUGHT, THROUGH, THOROUGH E THROUGHOUT

“English can be weird. It can be understood through tough thorough thought,

though”.

● I believe these are tough times, but everything will be fine!

● My sister is a tough girl!
● I know Mondays are tough, but we survive.
● Mary is so tough, I admire her.
● You need a tough plastic bowl for your dog.

● I bought that book, though I don’t really have the time to read it now.
● I broke up with him. I miss him, though.
● Though I want to go, I really can’t leave right now.
● They know it is weird. They like it, though.

1
Thought /thót/

Essa é a conjugação do passado simples e do particípio passado do verbo “think”

(pensar, achar).
Acompanhe as frases:

● Paul thought it would be great if they had a cat!

● Her thoughts are a little confusing today.
● I thought it would be fun.
● Take a minute to gather your thoughts.

Through /thrú/

completo”. Veja:

● She had to walk through the park to get home.

● I can’t see through the mist.
● I’ve learned that through a lot of practice.
● He will have to think it through.

● I need to be thorough with this contract.

● I gave my room a thorough cleaning.
● Read carefully, you need to be thorough.
● The report was very thorough.

Acompanhe:

● People throughout the country are watching that show.

● All countries throughout the world are worried about the virus.
● The movie was great, but Carol slept throughout!
● This house has recently been redecorated throughout.
