A primeira vez que publiquei este livro quinze anos atrs, dei-lhe um
ttulo obscuro: dio da poesia. Pareceu-me que a verdadeira poesia
s poderia ser alcanada pelo dio. A poesia no possui nenhum
significado poderoso a no ser pela violncia da revolta. Mas a
poesia apenas alcana essa violncia pela evocao do impossvel.
Quase ningum entendeu o significado do primeiro ttulo, por isso
que eu preferi finalmente cham-lo de O Impossvel. (BATAILLE,
1971, p. 101)

Abstract: The poems of the french thinker Georges Bataille affirm a place of
indistinction, where words are dispersed, when they obliterate the sense, to become
parodies of themselves. Think the poetry in these terms is not articulate it more as a
dialogue between man and the world, but as the work in the service of despair, in the
sense that the word can only be used according his own loss. Thus, the subject who
writes the poem not only destroys the functional sense of the words, but also it
suicides at the instant that its action leads to exclusion, a non-place in the
community. The writing of Bataille thus forms a kind of cancerous text, which words
are multiplied, when they disperse themselves in their wounds, in the cuts which are
opened on the page. Therefore, this paper aims to examine how Georges Bataille's
poems create a disorder that points to an unnamed place where the senses are lost,
since the poem is brought to a condition of sacred object, at the instant who sacrifices
it leads us to the unknown, the anguish of a naked, from which death opens itself
sovereign, immune to any project or moral scheme.
