Tema: Antropologia do Risco e do Desastre

Horário: 3º Feira – 09:00 às 12:00h

Curso introdutório ao estudo dos fenômenos classificados, em termos humanitários,


patrimoniais, tecnológicos e ambientais, como desastres ou catástrofes. Em sua matriz
conceitual e etnográfica, decorre da ampliação da atenção das ciências humanas para
processos socioculturais de reconstrução, de reorganização social em quadro dramático,
no pós-guerras mundiais europeu; bem como do desenvolvimento de estudos
dedicados a mudança social e adaptação socioambiental das décadas de 1940-1950
frente aos efeitos de furacões, terremotos e grandes ondas na região do Pacífico. Nas
últimas décadas, tanto se define como uma área de estudos, em campo interdisciplinar
entre as ciências sociais e as biológico-ambientais, quanto amplia seu escopo
etnográfico, incluindo de desastres patrimoniais e políticas de genocídios de populações
e grupos étnicos, a rompimentos de barragens e usinas nucleares, em interconexões
com processos mais gerais de expansão econômica, de formação e contestação de
direitos socioambientais, de produção contínua do estado de vulnerabilidade e risco.
