Grammar
“Simple Present”
Nesta parte aprenderemos a conjugar verbos no presente simples. Observe a
conjugação do verbo “to take”

I take
You take Observe que para as 3as pessoas do singular foi
He takes acrescentado a letra “s”.
She takes Portanto você deve ficar ciente que sempre nas
It takes terceiras pessoas do singular haverá uma pequena
We take mudança.
You take Mas nem sempre será acrescentado apenas um “s”.

REGRAS PARA A CONJUGAÇÃO DAS 3as PESSOAS

Regra geral: Acrescentar “s”

Exemplo:
I like
You like
He likes
She likes
It likes
We like
You like
They like

1ª Regra - Verbos terminados em o, ch, sh, x, ss e zz: você deve colocar ES no

final do verbo somente para as terceiras pessoas.

Exemplo:
to do - does to wash -washes
to miss - misses to fix - fixes
to go - goes to teach - teaches
to buzz - buzzes

2ª Regra - verbos terminados em “y precedidos por consoante”, perde-se o

“Y” e acrescenta-se IES no final do verbo somente para as terceiras pessoas.

Exemplo:
To study - studies
To carry - carries
To cry - cries
3ª Regra - Esta é especial para o verbo “to have”, que fica “has” para as ter-
ceiras pessoas do singular.

Exemplo:
I have
You have
He has
She has
It has
We have
You have
They have
