ABSTRACT
This paper intends to describe the factors that contribute in any way
for the satisfaction, or dissatisfaction, of a workers group in three companies
of service, at Minas Gerais estate. It is a descriptive research and the
methodological strategy is the case study. The data were collected by semi
structured interviews and, afterward, grouped on categories. The results
show that 42% of the employees comprehend that satisfaction at work has,
as principal indicator, the benefices offered by the companies. In the other
way, the disagreement factors are usually caused by the difficulty of the
relationship with the bosses and with the partners to 23% of the employees,
and no perspectives of advancing in their career to 31% of them. The
Herzberg’s theory is the base of the paper, because the results are similar
with the Hygiene-Motivation model projected by him.
