Se considerarmos carboidratos como 60% teremos: 266,1 g de glicose que corresponde a 1064,4 kcal/dia (1 g de glicose = 4
kcal).
Sobram 709,6 kcal para lipídios. Como 1g de lipídio tem 9 kcal, teremos: 709,6 / 9 = 78,84 g de lipídios/dia.
Quarto passo: Adequar as necessidades de fluídos do pacientes:
Um adulto geralmente necessita de 30 - 40 mL de fluídos/kg/dia ou de 1 - 1,5 mL de fluídos/kcal gasta

2. NP com 25% de glicose – iniciar a infusão em 40 mL/hr/dia e aumentar 20-40 mL/hr/dia até atingir as
necessidades energéticas/nutricionais diárias do paciente;
3. NP com infusão de glicose hipertônica – se a infusão for interrompida repentinamente, pode ocorrer
hipoglicemia. A infusão da NP não deve ser interrompida para a infusão de outros fluídos ou
medicamentos.
4. Se for necessário realizar de cirurgia durante o uso de NP a razão de infusão pode ser reduzida à metade
por uma hora e então interrompida, ou a substituição da solução de glicose 10% imediatamente antes,
durante e por pouco tempo após a cirurgia;
5. A interrupção da infusão de NP deve ser realizada pela redução gradual da velocidade de infusão (reduzir
a infusão pela metade por 1 hora antes de parar), ou substituir a administração de NP com soro glicosado
10% na última uma hora;
