If you are the community organizer of facilitator what are the Challenges that you might

encounter in Pope Francis Village? Give at least 3 examples and explain.

If I were a community organizer or facilitator, I believe the challenges that I would face are first
gaining the trust of the people though my abilities. Being an organizer that is trying to fix one
community is difficult, and if the people in the community do not support the plans that I want
for them, the project will fail. This is why getting help or ideas from the community can also help
as shown in the video. Being a voice for something new to them is equally difficult, and it will
take time for the community to trust you. The second obstacle would be is an insufficient source
of funding to develop the village; having that problem would prevent the project from moving
forward and may generate disruption in the community; what we need to do is seek designated
government funds for the calamity or call for volunteer/investors. The final challenge mentioned
in the video is getting approval from the government. Getting approval takes time and requires
papers, credentials, and requirements. People in the community will wonder why it takes so
long and will blame the organizers, facilitators and the government for the delay of their houses.

How can you unite a divided community and eventually, empower them?

All of us can group together, especially during a storm. Individuals who endure the same difficulties and
challenges may respect each other since their common adversary is the situation, and with that mindset,
I believe it is simpler to unify a divided society and strengthen it. Logically speaking, it is my
responsibility to speak to the people and make them know that the situation is difficult as it is, therefore
the only way they can do for each other is to support and be with one another while they rehabilitate
the area, However, if we can bring more people who are eager to help, we will be able to achieve our
goals more quickly. Besides form meeting the community’s fundamental necessities, we must also
emphases their mental wellbeing, which is why we need many physician workers to conduct consult and
treatment as required. Psychological assistance is essential for those who have suffered trauma because
of the storm; we should make them feel at ease and confident for us and our preparation for them.
When adversity strikes, no one is rich or poor; everybody must be as humanitarian as necessary to get
back on their feet.
