expressões antes do nome, tornando-o contável, tal como exercício anterior.

Grammar: Countable and uncoutable nouns

Os nomes podem ser contáveis (podemos contar) e não contáveis (não podemos contar).

Nomes Contáveis Nomes Não Contáveis

Podem estar no singular ou no plural. São sempre utilizados no singular.
Ex. Ana ate an apple this morning. Ex. I had some juice for lunch.
I bought two apples for each of us.

Quando o nome contável está no singular, temos de utilizar um dos seguintes determinantes
como antecedente: a; an; the; this, that, my.
Ex. She is eating a big orange.

Quando um nome não é contável:

• o verbo está sempre no singular.
Ex. Water is very important for our health. I ate a pizza for lunch.
