Abstract
The Amazon, the world's largest tropical rainforest, plays a key role in global climate
regulation and the maintenance of biodiversity. However, the region faces significant
challenges related to land use and occupation, which directly impact its environmental
sustainability and socio-economic development. This article aims to address the complex
intersection between forest policy and development in the Amazon, highlighting the
challenges faced in regulating land use and presenting possible approaches to overcome
these obstacles.
