we will cover ways to greet people in Brazil and how to introduce yourself
and others using present tense verbs. Let's get started!

Greetings in Brazil
Olá Bom dia

The most common greeting in Brazil, equivalent to "Hello" Said in the morning until midday, meaning "Good morning."
or "Hi."

Boa tarde Boa noite

Used from midday until sunset, meaning "Good afternoon." Used from sunset until late at night, meaning "Good
evening/night."
Present tense of verb "to be" and "to have"

Ser Estar Ter

Used to express permanent features and characteristics. Ex: Used to express temporary states and locations. Ex: Eu Used to express possession or existence of something. Ex:
Eu sou brasileiro. (I am Brazilian.) estou cansado. (I am tired.) Eu tenho uma casa. (I have a house.)
Introducing Yourself and Others
1 Meu nome é... 2 Eu sou de... 3 Eu tenho...

My name is... I am from... I have...
