É bem conhecida a correlação entre a resitência à tração e a dureza. A resistência à deformação é dependente do módulo de elasticidade.
A tensão de escoamento é cerca de 1/3 da dureza . As principais características estão mostradas no gráfico tensão deformação (abaixo)

It is well known the correlation between hardness and tensile resistance. The creep resistance is dependent on the modulus of elasticity.
The flow stress is about 1/3 the hardness. The main characteristics are shown in the graph deflection voltage (below)

Uma relação aproximada entre a dureza ea resistência à tração (de aço) é

indicado na fórmula abaixo, onde é a Dureza HB Brinnell do material, tal como
medido com um penetrador e uma carga padrão kgf 3000.
An approximate relationship between the hardness and the tensile strength (of
steel) is indicated in the formula below, where HB is the Brinnell Hardness of
the material, as measured with a standard indenter and a 3000 kgf load.
