Rede Astro: tecnologia avançada permite que imagens de tecidos e células do corpo humano, de pacientes de
qualquer canto do Brasil, sejam analisadas à distância por especialistas

Belo Horizonte, 07 de dezembro de 2020 - O Instituto Hermes Pardini S.A. (B3: PARD3) (“Companhia” ou
“Grupo Pardini”) comunica aos seus acionistas e ao mercado em geral, que o Grupo Pardini acaba de lançar,
através da Diagnóstika – uma das empresas do Grupo com expertise em Anatomia Patológica, uma rede de
conexão entre patologistas de múltiplas especialidades, competências e experiência. Ancorado na tecnologia,
o projeto inovador vai encurtar a distância entre especialistas espalhados por todo o Brasil com o objetivo de
democratizar o acesso ao diagnóstico especializado em anatomia patológica através da patologia digital.

Como protagonistas no cuidado com a saúde da população, os patologistas analisam exames de alta
complexidade. Eles são responsáveis por encontrar diagnósticos de várias doenças e identificar tratamentos
mais adequados para os pacientes. Entre as funções desses especialistas estão o diagnóstico dos diversos
tipos de câncer. O Astro vai conectar os especialistas espalhados pelo território nacional para democratizar
o acesso ao diagnóstico especializado em anatomia patológica por meio do uso da patologia digital e da
expertise em logística do Grupo. A implementação do Astro pode beneficiar centenas de laboratórios de
anatomia patológica em todo o Brasil.

A iniciativa é mais uma entre as várias que destacam o compromisso do Grupo Pardini com os avanços da
medicina e o acesso à saúde para todos. Entre elas, estão o telediagnóstico e a teleconsulta. “O Astro é mais
um projeto do Grupo Pardini nesse ano desafiador, que tem tudo a ver com o nosso propósito de oferecer
tecnologia em saúde para quem precisar e onde estiver” afirmou o vice-presidente da companhia, Alessandro
Ferreira.

A Anatomia Patológica, bem como a Medicina Personalizada são unidades de negócio estratégicas para o
Grupo Pardini, pela importância para o desenvolvimento do setor de medicina diagnóstica no mundo. “As
duas precisam caminhar juntas. A Anatomia Patológica é a porta de entrada para a Medicina Personalizada.
Esta última é imprescindível para a prevenção de cânceres e tratamentos oncológicos, por exemplo”,
explicou Alessandro. Segundo o executivo, ao incorporar inovações nas duas áreas, a companhia busca
excelência dos procedimentos relacionados à patologia cirúrgica para os quatro cantos do Brasil.
De acordo com Alessandro Ferreira, A Rede Astro também acelerará conhecimentos e promoverá troca de
experiências entre os patologistas. “Nosso projeto tem como premissa o foco no paciente e a tecnologia

mais de 30 anos equivalente aos maiores centros de Patologia Cirúrgica do mundo será a agente de conexão

Ainda neste ano, o Grupo lançou a websérie Mestres na Arte da Descoberta, cujo conceito estabeleceu uma
conexão entre a beleza estética das lâminas, a arte de decifrar os sinais do corpo e o diagnóstico clínico de
doenças. As lâminas trazem cores, formas, partes do corpo de alguma pessoa. Essas imagens carregam beleza
estética, mas acima de tudo histórias. Por trás de gravuras abstratas, o médico patologista analisa qualquer
parte do corpo humano para encontrar um diagnóstico preciso. Mestre na arte da descoberta, eles
investigam, de forma individual, as amostras biológicas, que chegam aos laboratórios para análises. Com
muito conhecimento técnico e sensibilidade, sob as lentes de um microscópio ou agora digitalmente, e por
meio de procedimentos diversos, os patologistas decifram cores, formas e tamanhos, investigam genes,
proteínas, células e tecidos do corpo humano para chegar ao diagnóstico dos pacientes. Eles têm um olhar
sensível e descobrem o que é essencial para um diagnóstico definitivo e fundamental para o tratamento
específico de cada paciente e para a continuidade de milhões de vidas. Os vídeos contaram com cenas do

Belo Horizonte, December 7th, 2020 - Instituto Hermes Pardini SA (B3: PARD3) (“Company” or “Pardini
Group”) communicates to its shareholders and the market in general, that the Pardini Group has just
launched, through Diagnóstika – one of the Group companies with expertise in Pathological Anatomy – a
connection network between multiple specialties pathologists, skills and experience. Based on technology,
the innovative project will shorten the distance between specialists spread across Brazil in order to
democratize access to specialized diagnosis in pathological anatomy through digital pathology.

As protagonists in the health care of the population, pathologists analyze high complexity exams. They are
responsible for finding diagnoses for various diseases and identifying the most appropriate treatments for
patients. Among the functions of these specialists are the diagnosis of different types of cancer. Astro will
connect specialists throughout the national territory to democratize access to specialized diagnosis in
