A primeira página é sempre a mais interessante, nunca sabemos

o que nos aguarda do outro lado. No entanto, não há porque ter
receio quando "o outro lado" é tão simpático e amável quanto
este. Uma receção mais calorosa que o clima espanhol durante o
Verão foi o suficiente para nos levantar o ânimo e será, para
sempre, a primeira coisa de que me lembrarei quando pensar
nesta experiência.

O dia começou com a mais esperada viagem para Basauri, pouco
tempo depois foi tirada esta foto que simboliza muito pra nós,
desde o começo da viagem, a primeira foto de grupo nesta
mobilidade, e também a primeira interação entre os alunos, e foi
através desta foto que toda esta aventura começou e levamos
daqui lembranças inesquecíveis.

The day started with the most awaited trip to Basauri, a short

We started the day very early but I believe it was worth it. I

O primeiro dia foi muito excitante! Estamos todos nervosos
porque não fazíamos ideia para onde íamos. Mas acabou por ser
incrível! Adorei a avioneta do 2.º voo.

O primeiro dia é sempre aquele que estamos com algum receio e
ao mesmo tempo ansiedade, uma vez que, não sabemos o que
nos espera do outro lado, há sempre aquele sentimento de
dúvida se vamos gostar se ou se vamos odiar. Mas no fim acabou
tudo mesmo por correr bem. 

The first day is always the one that we are afraid of and at the
same time anxious about, since we don't know what awaits us on

Este foi o primeiro dia desta experiência, e foi vivido com um

lado o nervosismo, por não saber aquilo que nos esperava em

uma família) e depois a parte de conhecer os espanhois que nos

De manhã começa o dia e o nosso começou cedo. Pelas oito
horas da manhã todos tínhamos que estar na biblioteca do Urbi
(e assim foi) de modo a começar a cerimónia de boas-vindas esta
escola à nossa delegação e à delegação da Lituánia. Esta
apresentação começou meia hora depois do previsto e durou até
depois das 10, contando com intervenções da diretora do Urbi
(Arrate Aldaiturriaga), do Presidente do Ayuntamiento de Basauri
(Asier Iragorri), e do Cônsul Honorário de Portugal em Bilbau
(Juan António Liedo Rojo). Depois disso um momento musical
muito agradável se seguiu, com um professor de basco a cantar
músicas tradicionais do País Basco com acompanhamento de
guitarra, enquanto que acompanhávamos o cantar com as letras
devidamente traduzidas.
Depois disto saímos da escola e pela primeira vez utilizamos o
metro de Bilbau, que nos levou à cidade que lhe dá nome, onde
nos primeiro dirigimos ao Museu Guggenheim, onde com uma
visita guiada passamos por uma exposição de uma instalação de
aço enorme e depois pelas mais subtis pinturas de arte moderna
e contemporânea expostas no museu. Ficou pena por não
podermos entrar numa sala com quadros famosíssimos de várias
vanguardas, do fauvismo ao surrealismo.
Continuamos a nossa caminhada pelas margens da Ria de Bilbao,
que, depois de muitos belas construções observadas, nos
levaram ao Funicular que nos permitiu subir a montanha
Artxanda, o que nos deu uma espantosa vista da cidade (E um
lanche também).

Quando voltamos a descer fomos largados no Casco Viejo (parte Eduardo Domingos

In the morning the day begins and the ours started early. Around

Nesta imagem conseguimos ver o museu que fomos visitar,
Guggenheim. Inicialmente pensava que ia ser mais uma visita
secante, no entanto, quando lá chegámos a senhora que nos ia
fazer a visita guiada disse algo que me cativou bastante disse que
ia ser uma visita interativa. No decorrer desta fiquei bastante
surpreendido, uma vez que, senti que realmente aprendi
bastante e como a arte pode ter um grande impacto na nossa
forma de pensar.

In this image we can see the museum we went to visit,

Guggenheim. Initially I thought it was going to be another dry
visit, however, when we got there the lady who was going to give
us the guided tour said something that really captivated me and
said it was going to be an interactive tour. During this one I was
quite surprised, since I felt that I really learned a lot and how art
can have a big impact on our way of thinking.

Foi um dia expetacular, conseguimos reforçar as nossas relações
com os outros estudantes. Nestas esculturas de aço
conseguimos perceber o quão fácil o nosso cérebro pode ser
enganado.

No primeiro dia tivemos a oportunidade de visitar Bilbao e, o que
mais me fascinou, o museu de Guggenheim. Nunca havia
interagido com arte de forma tão direta então fez-me abrir os
olhos e aprender muito.

returning to Basauri. When we arrived in Basauri we all went
together and spent the whole afternoon dancing and talking to
each other.

nosso destino fomos visitar o parlamento basco onde nos foi
explicada a planta deste edifício e as suas funcionalidades, ainda
tivemos o privilégio de nos sentarmos na sala dos deputados.
Depois desta atividade bastante interativa e interessante foi nos
concebido "tempo livre" para almoçarmos e visitarmos um pouvo
mais a cidade. Por volta da 1:30 regressamos ao autocarro, no
entanto, na altura não sabíamos o que é que iamos fazer já que
os espanhóis tinham planeado uma surpresa para nós. Passado
algum tempo de viagem começamos a especular o que poderia
ser e pelo nosso espanto fomos visitar a arena de basketbol
Fernando Buesa onde conhecemos o ilustre jogador lituano. Sara
Infelizmente como demoramos um pouco mais na visita à arena

As usual we start our day by going to school around 8 am to

make some presentations alluding to the political system of each
country. The first group to present the political system was
Portugal (Simão and Filipa), then Lithuania ( ) and finally Spain ().

Na quarta-feira, fomos surpreendidos com uma visita a uma
arena de basquetebol da equipa Baskonia. De entre todas as boas
partes desta surpresa, conhecer o jogador Rokas Giedraitis, foi
sem dúvida um momento de inspiração.
On Wednesday, we were surprised with a visit to a basketball
arena of the Baskonia team.  Of all the good parts of this
surprise, meeting player Rokas Giedraitis was undoubtedly an
inspirational moment.
Nesta imagem conhecemos ver obviamente todos os
portugueses envolventes neste projecto e o jogador de basketbol
Rokas Giedraitis da equipa Basconia, de fundo conseguimos ver
a Arena Fernando Buesa. Fiquei bastante surpreendido por ter
estado com um jogador tão célebre como este e ter a
oportunidade de fazer diversas perguntas a este e perceber
como é que consegui atingir algo tão significativo como tornar-
se um jogador profissional. Penso que me motivou bastante para
continuar a lutar pelo meu sonho de me tornar um atleta
profissional.

In this image we can see obviously all the Portuguese involved in
this project and the basketball player Rokas Giedraitis from the
Basconia team, in the background we can see the Fernando
Buesa Arena. I was quite surprised to have been with such a
famous player and to have the opportunity to ask him several
questions and understand how I managed to achieve something
as significant as becoming a professional player. I think it
motivated me a lot to keep fighting for my dream of becoming a
professional athlete.

Wednesday was the day Filipa and I presented the Portuguese
Political System to all the other Spanish and Lithuanian
colleagues. All the systems have several common points,
although Spain has the curiosity of having autonomous regions
in a general way. Making this presentation helped me develop
English language communication and argumentation skills with
the audience.

Foi um dia em que realmente conhecemos como funciona a
Assembly House (casa da assembleia). De tarde tivemos também
uma surpresa incrível e imprevisível, fomos à Baskonia (uma
arena de Basketball) onde conhecemos um jogador lituano que
estava a jogar em Espanha, que era bastante simpático, e
respondeu nos a bastantes perguntas feitas pelos estudantes. 
It was a day when we really got to know how the Assembly
House works. In the afternoon we also had an incredible and
unpredictable surprise, we went to Baskonia (a basketball arena)
where we met a Lithuanian player who was playing in Spain, who
was very nice, and answered many questions asked by the
students.

Começamos o dia com um trabalho de grupo entre os três
países, new coverage of each country, na qual estávamos
divididos por 3 grupos e cada um tinha que apresentar um três
temas diferentes, e abordar duas notícias de cada país, e por fim
falar do jornal que publicou a notícia e decifrar qual a sua
ideologia política. De seguida fomos para Gernika, e visitamos o
"Museo de la paz de Guernica", onde visitamos uma exposição
sobre o bombardeio de Guernica, na qual podemos experienciar
uma simulação de uma família que sofreu no bombardeio, depois
tivemos uma visita guiada pela cidade, onde foi explicado o que
acontecia de mas importante em cada lugar, como por exemplo
o Shelter, que eram usados exclusivamente pelos civis durante o
bombardeio, e onde se localizavam, a igreja onde era dado o sinal
sonoro de que as tropas alemãs estavam a chegar. Depois
visitamos o Assembleia Geral. Por fim fomos visitar Bermeo e
criar mais laços de comunicação com os alunos lituanos e
espanhóis.

We started the day with a group work between the three
countries, new coverage of each country, in which we were
divided into three groups and each group had to present three
different themes, and cover two news items from each country,
and finally talk about the newspaper that published the news
and decipher its political ideology. Next we went to Gernika, and
visited the "Museo de la paz de Guernica", where we visited an
exhibition about the bombing of Guernica, in which we could
experience a simulation of a family that suffered during the
bombing, then we had a guided tour of the city, where it was
explained what happened in each place, such as the Shelter,
which was used exclusively by civilians during the bombing, and
where they were located, the church where the sound signal was
given that the German troops were coming. Then we visited the
General Assembly. Finally we went to visit Bermeo and create
more communication links with Lithuanian and Spanish
students.

Entrar no museu da guerra civil espanhola no mesmo dia em que
a ucrânia foi invadida fez-nos todos refletir. Esperemos que os
erros do passados sirvam como exemplos para evitar conflitos
assim.

Walking into the Spanish Civil War Museum on the same day
Ukraine was invaded made us all reflect. Let's hope that past
mistakes serve as examples to avoid such conflicts.

Paz. Um conceito contraditório visto implicar a existência de

guerra ou caos. No entanto, essencial para a nossa vida numa Beatriz Faria

Neste dia tão pesado, conseguimos sentir um pouco do

sofrimento de toda a população que esteve presente no

Quarta fomos a Guarnica and Bermeo. Bermeo é umas das vistas

mais lindas que já vi. Cheia de cores, faz me lembrar a minha

Nesta imagem conseguimos ver uma parede alusiva aos direitos
humanos. Ao longo da visita o meu ponto de vista foi bastante
alterado já que eu tinha uma noção completamente errada da
guerra e não tinha noção do quão o homem pode frio para
atingir o seu objetivo. Esta visita foi de certa forma irónica uma
vez que fomos ao museu da PAZ e recebemos, ao início do dia, a
infeliz notícia de que a Rússia tinha invadido a Ucrânia.

In this image we can see a wall alluding to human rights. During

the visit my point of view changed a lot as I had a completely
wrong notion of war and I had no idea how cold man can be to
achieve his objective. This visit was somewhat ironic as we went
to the PEACE museum and received, at the beginning of the day,
the unfortunate news that Russia had invaded Ukraine.

No dia 24, fizemos uma visita ao “Museo de la Paz de Guernica”.

Esta visita fez-nos perceber de forma mais realista todas as
dificuldades pelas quais as pessoas passam numa situação de
guerra e, com a tensão entre a Rússia e a Ucrânia, fez-nos dar Simão
valor aos pequenos momentos de felicidade e segurança da vida. 
Quinta-feira foi um dia de emoções fortes pois começou bem
cedo com a notícia da invasão russa à Ucrânia, o que causou

Começamos o dia com a realização de um Workshop sobre
notícias atuais de cada país e discutimos as influências políticas

fomos almoçar a Bermeo, onde almoçamos por “conta própria “
e foi um almoço incrível. Da parte da tarde esperamos na
estação de comboio 45 min e fomos para Bassauri.

We started the day with a Workshop on current news from each

country and discussed the political influences of each
newspaper. Then we visited the Peace Museum in Gernika, then
we had a guided tour of the city and then we went to Bermeo for
lunch, where we had lunch “on our own” and it was an amazing
lunch. In the afternoon we waited at the train station for 45
minutes and went to Bassauri.

E assim concluiu-se a nossa mobilidade. No fim da apresentação
dos trabalhos tivemos a entrega dos prémios e estávamos todos
muito tristes por ir embora. Esperemos que a mobilidade dos
lituanos e dos espanhóis em Portugal corra de forma excelente e
que encontre outra vez os amigos que fiz para a vida em
Espanha.   
Desta vez começaram os lituanos a apresentar, foram seguidos
—
finalizaram o tema os lituanos.
And just like that our mobility ended. At the end of the
presentation of the works we had the delivery of the prizes and
we were all very sad to leave. Let's hope that the mobility of
Lithuanians and Spainish in Portugal goes excellently and that
you find again the friends I made for life in Spain.

O início deste dia foi como o de tantos outros. Não foi o facto de
termos mais apresentações que mudou a rotina. Fomos para a
biblioteca onde nos encontramos com os restantes alunos (pelas
8:30). Após alguma preparação e discursos nervosos sobre o que
nos aguardava, tinha finalmente chegado a tão temida hora...
Tínhamos de descer 2 andares de escadas... Após esta curta,
apesar de parecer eterna, tortura - hm... Quer dizer... Exercício-
chegámos ao auditório onde faríamos as apresentações. 
Começaram os portugueses, por volta das 9:30 com uma
apresentação sobre "News coverage". Foram seguidos,
novamente, por portugueses que falaram sobre a democracia
digital ("Digital Democracy"). Após estas apresentações entraram
os lituanos em cena, falando sobre protestos na Lituânia.
Seguiram-se dois grupos Espanhóis e outro Lituano (cada um
com mais uma apresentação) para completar o tema.
Depois desta maratona de apresentações já era hora para uma
pausa, não? Nop... Ainda faltavam mais 4 apresentações para
fazermos uma pausa... (Lord have mercy) Avançamos para outro
tema, onde apresentaram um grupo português, um grupo
lituano e dois grupos (um no início e outro no fim) espanhóis. 
É então, pelas 11:10 , que como se fosse D. Sebastião a sair do
nevoeiro, ouvimos as tão desejadas palavras: "Coffee Break".
Tivemos 25 minutos de pausa antes de voltarmos para o
auditório. Apesar de, desta vez, não irmos imediatamente para as
apresentações. Fomos surpreendidos pela presença de Teresa
Valente, uma violoncelista portuguesa da orquestra sinfónica de
Bilbao. Passámos uma hora com a artista, entre micro concertos
e diferentes conversas. 
Mas enfim, nada dura para sempre... Lá teríamos que voltar ao
trabalho, recomeçamos as apresentações.

The begging of the day was like all the others. It wasn't the fact

went to the library where we met with the other students
(roughly at 8:30). After some preparation and nervous talks the

stairs... After this short, even though it seemed eternal, torture -
hm... I mean... Exercise- we got to the auditorium where we
would do our presentations. The portuguese students started at
9:30 with a presentation about News Coverage. They were
followed, again, by another portuguese group that talked about
Digital Democracy. After those presentations, the lithuanians
presented their first work, where they talked about protests in
Lithuania. They were followed by two Spanish groups and
another Lithuanian to finish the theme. After this marathon of
presentations it was time for a break, wasn't it? Nop... There
were still four more presentations left for us to take a break...
(Lord have mercy) We moved on to another theme, where a
Portuguese group, a Lithuanian group and two (one at the
beginning and one at the end) Spanish groups presented. It is
then, at 11:10, that as if it were D. Sebastião coming out of the
fog, we heard the much desired words: "Coffee Break". We had a
25-minute break before we went back to the auditorium.
Although, this time, we didn't immediately go to the
presentations. We were surprised by the presence of Teresa
Valente, a Portuguese cellist of the Symphonic Orchestra of
Bilbao. We spent an hour with the artist, between micro
concerts and different conversations. 

But anyway, nothing lasts forever... We would have to go back to

work, we started the presentations again. 

This time the Lithuanians began to present, they were followed

by a Portuguese and a Spanish group, respectively, and the

Today we went to a coffee shop with the spanish. The best part
of the day is always the coffee break. We also visited beautiful
places around basauri, my host took me to the best view of the
city. This helped me developing communication skills because as

Nesta imagem conseguimos ver todos os alunos a receber o seu
merecido diploma depois de meses e meses de trabalho e
dedicação. Este momento, tal como uma moeda, tem duas faces
por um lado sentimo-nos orgulhosos e felizes com todo o
trabalho realizado e com todas as vivências experiênciadas, por
outro lado, sentimos um vazio por sabermos que esta
experiência está prestes a acabar e tal como uma moeda
guardaremos este sentimento como sendo algo valioso. Após
este progeto cresci como pessoa e amadureci, tenho muita
vontade de repetir.

In this image we can see all the students receiving their well-
deserved diploma after months and months of work and
dedication. This moment, like a coin, has two sides, on the one
hand we feel proud and happy with all the work carried out and
with all the experiences experienced, on the other hand, we feel
a void knowing that this experience is about to end and such like
a coin we will keep this feeling as something valuable. After this
project I grew as a person and matured, I really want to do it
again.

No início deste dia foi um bocado diferente, nos fomos fazer as
No último dia de atividades, fomos também surpreendidos, mas apresentações de todos os trabalhos à biblioteca municipal às
desta vez com a presença de uma violoncelista, Teresa Valente. A 8.30, tivemos a honra de receber uma violoncelista portuguesa
paixão e sentimento com que esta música tocava, foi sem dúvida que nos respondeu a algumas perguntas. Quando acabou a
emocionante. manhã fomos almoçar todos juntos a um restaurante em
Bassauri e tivemos a tarde livre.

On the last day of activities, we were also surprised, but this

time with the presence of a cellist, Teresa Valente.  The passion
and feeling with which this musician played was undoubtedly
moving.
At the beginning of this day it was a little different, we went to
make the presentations of all the works at the municipal library
at 8.30, we had the honor of receiving a Portuguese cellist who
answered some questions. When the morning was over, we all
went to lunch together at a restaurant in Bassauri and had the
afternoon free.

Hoje o dia foi mais calmo mas, mesmo assim, importante para
todos nós. Ao longo da semana desenvolvemos competências
importantíssimas que não teria oportunidade de o fazer se não
participasse nesta mobilidade e, claro, desenvolvemos laços de
amizade e familiares que ficarão marcados na nossa vida. Deixar
isto tudo para trás trouxe um aperto no coração mas ao mesmo
tempo, uma grande felicidade por criar tantas memórias.

Today was calmer, but still really important for all of us.
Throughout the week we developed very important skills that I
would not have the opportunity to do so if we didn’t participate
in this mobility and, of course, we developed bonds of friendship
and family that will be marked in our lives.

Leaving all of this behind brought us a big heartache but, at the

same time, happiness because we had the opportunity to make
all this memories.

On Friday I had two moments that I can highlight, the 1st being
the presentation of the 2nd part of my work with Filipa and the
attentive visualization of the work of all the other students. This
greatly improved my knowledge of many subjects, namely digital
democracy. The 2nd part is the special socializing we had with
our Spanish hosts and then going to a bar to say an emotional
goodbye to our Lithuanian colleagues.

This day was spent almost all the time in the airport, it was a day
of reflection. We all cried a lot, saying goodbye it’s always
difficult. We come out of this trip different.

In the airport we played cards and talk to eachother about our

experiences on the different houses.

Foi um dia em que pela primeira vez não tivemos de acordar
cedo. Às 15 horas encontramo-nos no aeroporto de Bilbao,
quando reparamos que o nosso voo estava atrasado 1h30 min.
Tivemos uma despedida muito triste dos espanhóis mas lá
seguimos caminho. Tivemos umas longas horas a espera do avião
enquanto jogávamos cartas. Apanhamos os aviões e chegamos ao
Porto por volta da meia noite.

It was a day when for the first time we didn't have to wake up
early. At 15:00 we found ourselves at Bilbao airport, when we
noticed that our flight was delayed by 1h30min. We had a very
sad farewell to the Spaniards but we continued on our way. We
had long hours waiting for the plane while we played cards. We
caught the planes and arrived in Porto around midnight.
Simão
The last day was very emotional and very beautiful. I woke up
early and went with my host Alan to meet his aunt Soraya, a
hairdresser, who wanted to see me before leaving. After meeting
such a nice lady, we went to the bar where Alan's mother Nagore
works and said goodbye to her. It was 11 o'clock. Then I went to
watch the football game played by my host's younger brother,
me. We then went home for lunch a Paella made by Alan's
grandmother. We left for the airport at 2.30pm. I gained another
family that I will see again in the summer.

A warm thank you to teachers Elisa, Paulo and Ana for the
constant support and opportunity! Keep up with the excellent
work you are doing! Without teachers like this, we would never
have this unique opportunity!

Finally a huge tribute to the family that welcomed me and made

me emotional when I left. Everyone welcomed me with a smile
and allowed conversations rich in cultural sharing. They made
me feel at home and eager to go back.

This was, without a shadow of a doubt, the best experience the

this was definitely one of the best experiences and feelings that I
ever had. My favourite day was the second one, I learned so
much!!! I improved so much my social skills, after the lockdown
we all lost a little bit of that, but now I feel like I became so
communicative, feels good to be back after 2 years with covid-
LTTA 19. I was able to practice more english and I learned some words

PADLET DRIVE the best part of all of this were the friendships. I couldn’t be
more thankful for the friends I made, all of them belong to my

This trip was an incredible experience, an experience that
money can not buy. In this short trip, many fun aspects of
Spanish and Lithuanian culture were discovered, we created a
lot of bonds with the students and most important of all we left
this ERASMUS with a much broader and more diverse general
culture. We practiced English a lot and our dexterity for
interpersonal relationships, which makes us growd and enrich as
humans.

This week, of 21th to 26th February, we had the opportunity to

visit , for example, the Peace Museum in Guernika, Baskonia ( a
basketball arene ), the House Assembly ( Basque Assembly),
Guggenheim museum, among others.

It was without a doubt the best experience I've ever had, I

wanted to thank our school Camilo Castelo Branco and our
teachers (Ana Paula, Paulo and Elisa) for providing us with this
incredible adventure.

I don't even know where to start. I entered this experience a

little afraid, but I can say that, participating in this project, was
one of my best decisions. 

During this week, me and my Portuguese colleagues were able to

be in contact with two different cultures, Spanish and
Lithuanian, and learn a little bit about them. Besides this, I could
also learn a lot about teamwork and improve some skills, such as
independence and communication, things that would not be
possible to happen if I had not participated in this mobility. Also,
we were able to visit important places, both for Spanish history
and for the whole world, that made us gain knowledge and gave
us a new vision of life. 

Overall, I can end by saying that this is an experience that I will

remember for all my life, which provided me with unforgettable
friendships and adventures.
