Jesus
Teoria que afirma que o personagem
histórico Jesus Cristo não existiu
Jesus e as origens do
cristianismo
As origens e a rápida ascensão do
cristianismo, bem como o Jesus
histórico e a historicidade de Jesus, são
uma questão de debate de longa data na
pesquisa teológica e histórica. Enquanto
o cristianismo pode ter começado com
um núcleo inicial de seguidores de Jesus,
poucos anos depois da sua morte em
c. 33 d.C., na época em que o apóstolo
Paulo começou a pregar, vários
"movimentos de Jesus" pareciam ter
existido, o que propagou interpretações
divergentes dos ensinamentos de
Cristo.[17] Uma questão central é como
essas comunidades se desenvolveram e
quais eram suas convicções originais,[17]
e como uma ampla gama de crenças e
ideias poderiam ser encontradas no
cristianismo primitivo, incluindo o
adotacionismo e o docetismo, incluindo
as tradições gnósticas que usavam
imagens cristãs, todas consideradas
heréticas pelo cristianismo proto-
ortodoxo.[18] No meio acadêmico
tradicional Jesus é tido como uma
pessoa real que foi posteriormente
deificada.[14][15]
enquanto os debates
históricos e teológicos
permanecem sobre as ações e
o significado desta figura, sua
fama como mestre, e sua
crucificação sob [a ordem d]o
governador romano Pôncio
Pilatos, pode ser descrita
como historicamente certa.[21]
Argumentos
De acordo com o estudioso do Novo
Testamento Robert Van Voorst, a maioria
dos mitólogos que defender o mito de
Cristo segue um argumento tríplice: eles
questionam a confiabilidade das
epístolas paulinas e dos Evangelhos com
relação à historicidade de Jesus; eles
notam a falta de informação sobre
Jesus em fontes não cristãs do primeiro
e do início do segundo século;[37] e eles
argumentam que o cristianismo primitivo
era sincrético e mitológico desde o
começo.[37]

Segundo Derek Murphy, os
documentários The God Who Wasn't

levantou interesse pela teoria do mito de
Cristo com um público maior e deu ao
tópico uma grande cobertura na
Internet.[154] Daniel Gullotta observa a
relação entre a organização "Atheists
United" e o trabalho de Carrier
relacionado à teoria, que aumentou "a
atenção do público".

Recepção no meio
acadêmico
No meio acadêmico moderno, a teoria
contenham material
histórico, não podemos mais
rejeitar a existência de Jesus
como podemos rejeitar a
existência de uma gama de
personagens pagãos como
figuras históricas que nunca é
realmente questionada.[175]
Graeme Clarke, professor emérito de
História Clássica e Arqueologia na
Australian National University[176]
declarou: "Francamente, eu não conheço
nenhum historiador antigo ou historiador
bíblico que teria uma pontada de dúvida
sobre a existência de Jesus Cristo — a
evidência documental é simplesmente
esmagadora".[177]
Oposição
Os estudiosos
contemporâneos do Novo
Testamento tipicamente viam
os argumentos (do mito de
Cristo) como tão fracos ou
bizarros que os relegam a
notas de rodapé, ou
frequentemente os ignoram
completamente [...] A teoria
da inexistência de Jesus está
agora efetivamente morta
como questão acadêmica".[181]
Documentários
Desde 2005, vários documentários em
inglês focalizaram — pelo menos em
parte — a teoria do mito de Cristo:

Notas
1. [9]: "[Per] Jesus mythicism, Earl
Doherty, defines the view as follows:
it is "the theory that no historical
Jesus worthy of the name existed,
that Christianity began with a belief in
a spiritual, mythical figure, that the
Gospels are essentially allegory and
fiction, and that no single identifiable
person lay at the root of the Galilean
preaching tradition." [Earl Doherty
(2009), Jesus: Neither God nor Man:
The Case for a mythical Jesus
(Ottawa, ON: Age of Reason
Publications), vii–viii.] In simpler
terms, the historical Jesus did not
exist. Or if he did, he had virtually
nothing to do with the founding of
Christianity."</ref>
2. Os critérios que são usados para
determinar se as passagens bíblicas
podem ser atribuídas a Jesus
incluem atestado múltiplo, o
dissimilaridade, o constrangimento, a
plausibilidade histórica, a rejeição e
execução, e congruência.
3. According to Lataster, "the only thing
New Testament scholars seem to
agree on is Jesus' historical
existence".[26]
4. Uma das razões pelas quais os
mitólogos de Cristo suspeitam de
falsificação é porque a passagem
anterior ao Testemonium Flavianum
diz respeito a Pôncio Pilatos
libertando seus soldados para
massacrar uma grande multidão de
judeus em Jerusalém e, sem o
Testimonium Flavianum, o seguinte
parágrafo começa dizendo:[68] "Por
volta da mesma época, outra triste
calamidade colocou os judeus em
desordem". Eles julgam isso suspeito
como Josefo supostamente acabou
de escrever sobre Jesus sendo "o
Cristo" e a ascensão da "tribo dos
cristãos", vendo isto como não
apropriado no contexto. Outras
razões incluem a passagem de não
ser judeu devoto como Josefo
escreveria (especialmente, "se é
lícito chamá-lo de homem" e
"realizador de feitos incríveis"), já que
sua escrita era geralmente
sofisticada, e teria explicado
qualquer coisa fora do comum para
seu público gentio, como explicar o
que a palavra "Cristo" significa, por
que Jesus foi chamado assim e
outras explicações, como ele
conquistou muitos judeus e gregos,
como ele fez para todos os outros
grupos ([69]), ou por que ele
mencionaria Jesus "aparecendo" no
"terceiro dia" – um credo cristão ‐
sem explicá-lo [70] e como ninguém
parecia notar essa passagem até o
século IV, nem mesmo Orígenes que
citasse Josefo extensivamente em
suas obras, [71] levando assim os
mitólogos a pensar que o
Testimonium Flavianum seria uma
falsificação do século IV, talvez
escrito por Eusébio [72] a fim de
fornecer uma autoridade judaica
externa para a vida de Jesus.[73][74]

an Angel (https://ehrmanblog.org/pa

Christ to be an angel who became a
human."
6. Alguns têm identificado o arquétipo
histórico dos "Jesuses"[98] ou citando
a declaração de Carl Jung "este
Cristo de S. Paulo dificilmente teria
sido possível sem o Jesus
histórico."[97]
