There are only two species of elephants today: African

and Asian. The African elephant lives in Central Africa
and the Asian elephant lives in India, Indochina,
Malaysia, Indonesia and South China.
The African elephant is heavier than the Asia elephant. It
weights from 4 to 7 metric tons. The African elephant is
also taller. It’s between 3 and 4 meters tall.
Both elephants are gray but the Asian elephant can be
darker. The African elephant has bigger ears than the
Asian elephant.
