Abstract— This paper deals with the linear quadratic regulator problem for systems subject to parametric
uncertainties. The robustness of this kind of regulator will evaluated in order to measure the performance of
control approaches based on robust regularized mean square and penalty function techniques. Experimtental
results will be presented based on the dynamics of an inverted pendulum.
Keywords— Inverted pendulum, recursive robust control, discrete-time systems, uncertain systems.
