RESUMO
Canine urolithiasis is the formation of urinary calculi (urolithiasis), which can occur in
any part of the urinary tract such as the urethra, intestinal capsules, ureters, kidneys
and are better known as "kidney stones". Uroliths themselves are not considered a
disease, but a clinical manifestation that must be treated not only surgically, but also
through an investigation of the underlying cause. Uroliths result from high
concentrations of salts in the urine, internal retention, favorable pH, existence of
nucleation and concentrations of incurable crystallization inhibitors. They are usually
presented as clinical signs: cystitis, hematuria, pollakiuria and stranguria, as well as
being asymptomatic. They are named according to their mineral content, being
struvite, calcium oxalate, urate, silicate, cystine and mixed and the most found in
dogs are magnesium ammonium phosphate (struvite) and calcium oxalate (Oyafuso,
2008). This work is to report a case of urethral rupture due to calculi lodged in the
urethra of a 4-year-old female German Spitz dog. The animal had difficulty moving,
was in lateral decubitus, with tremors, normo hydrated, with tachycardia, apnea,
several emetic episodes and severe abdominal pain with significant bladder repletion
and cranial deviation. The patient underwent emergency relief cystocentesis with
applications of Methadone 0.3 mg/kg, intramuscularly. Complementary exams such
as abdominal ultrasonography plus control ultrasonography, X-ray, ½ urine,
gasometry 3 dosages and panel 5, were performed with the intention of finding the
underlying cause and with that it was possible to conclude the diagnosis. After the
initial treatment, the animal underwent surgical procedures of cystotomy and
urethrorrhaphy, which aims to remove treatment and treatment of the urethra.

O estudo visa
frisar a importância do atendimento, diagnóstico e cirurgias emergenciais. Neste
relato, utilizamos o caso do canino, fêmea, chamada Abdala, Spitz Alemão, com 4
anos, Kg.
cistotomia e uretrorrafia. Para realização deste trabalho será mantida a ética e uso
de dados científicos.
