O Contexto Histórico
A Operação Market-Garden foi
uma operação militar da
Segunda Guerra Mundial
realizada pelos Aliados em
setembro de 1944.
 Operação
Market-Garden
O objetivo era capturar várias
pontes importantes na Holanda,
a fim de abrir caminho para uma
invasão bem-sucedida da
Alemanha.
A operação envolveu mais de 35.000 militares e foi liderada pelo
general britânico Bernard Montgomery.

A operação foi dividida em duas partes:

a operação "Market", que envolveu a aterrissagem de

paraquedistas aliados em território inimigo para capturar pontes
importantes;

e a operação "Garden", que envolveu o avanço terrestre de

tropas britânicas, americanas e polonesas para se juntar aos
paraquedistas e consolidar as posições capturadas.

alemães, cortando o ressuprimento aliado durante 36 horas,
entre as áreas conquistadas pela 101st e 82nd Airborne Division.

RESSUPRIMENTO NAS Z LÇ
As Z Lç para ressuprimento da 1st Airborne
Division caíram em mãos alemães. Elas
deveriam estar melhor defendidas para manter
seu funcionamento.
DISTÂNCIA PARA O AP LOG
Considerou-se uma área muito profunda
para o apoio logístico (100-120km),
deixando as tropas da 1st Airborne
Division sem suprimentos para continuar
AP ENG PARA MNT FLUXO LOGÍSTICO
em Cmb.
Pnt foram lançadas pelo C Ex a fim de substituir
Pnt destruídas pelos alemães na tentativa de
impedir o avanço das tropas aliadas em território
holandês.

Ao constatar a chegada de tropas
A 1st Airborne Division estava
junto às Pnt sobre o Rio ARNHEM,
completamente dependente do Ap F do
rapidamente os alemães destruíram

a Pnt ferroviária e concentraram

todos seus esforços para manter a
