VERBOS REGULARES
Os verbos regulares em inglês são aqueles que mantém a forma do infinitivo quando estão nas
conjugações Simple Past ou no Past Participle, e muda-se apenas a terminação das palavras
adicionando o –ed. Alguns exemplos são os seguintes:
Infinitivo Simple Past/Past Participle

like liked
VERBOS IRREGULARES
Os verbos irregulares em inglês são aqueles em que a estrutura da palavra muda quando conjugado no
Simple Past e no Past Participle. Não existe uma regra para as mudanças sofridas no verbo entre uma
conjugação e outra, por isso são chamados de irregulares. Alguns exemplos são:

Alguns dos verbos irregulares mantém a mesma palavra no Simple Past e no Past Participle, como no
caso de Have (Had nas duas formas), Feel (felt), Say (Said), Make (Made), Leave (Left) e Hear
(Heard), dentre outros.
