- Presente Simples: Usado para expressar um fato, um acontecimento, gostos, sentimentos, desejos, opiniões, falar de rotina.
Ex: Sam likes to go camping in the woods.
I like go camping in the woods.

- 3ª Pessoa do singular (he, she, it): A 3ª pessoa do singular de alguns verbos recebe s.
work – works love – loves sing – sings
- Nos verbos terminados em SS, SH, CH, X, Z, O, acrescenta-se es.
kiss – kisses wash – washes watch – watches fix – fixes go – goes
- Se o verbo terminar em y precedido de consoante, troca-se o y por i e acrescenta-se es.
try – tries fly – flies study – studies
Exceção: have – has (I have a new car. / She has a new car.)

- Simple Present – NEGATIVE

- Ao formar frases negativas no simple present é necessário acrescentar o verbo auxiliar do + not (forma contraída: don’t).
- E no caso da terceira pessoa do singular (he, she, it) utiliza-se does + not (forma contraída: doesn’t) e o verbo não mudará, como nas frases
na afirmativa.

- Simple Present – INTERROGATIVE

- Ao formar frases interrogativas no Simple Present é necessário colocar o auxiliar (do) antes do sujeito da frase. No caso da terceira pessoa do
singular (he, she, it) será utilizado o does e o verbo também não mudará.
Do they study? Do you live near here?
Does she study? Does he live near here?
