RESUMO
ABSTRACT
Intelligence (INTEL) is the science of collecting, analyzing and transforming information into knowledge.
Although its performance in the political, strategic, operational and tactical fields is well established,
Medical Intelligence still seems to be little known and explored in Brazil. Medical Intelligence is not just
an arm of intelligence, but it is intelligence applied technically to analyze strategic, operational, tactical
and technical information in order to produce useful and reliable knowledge for the success of war, non-
war operations and troop health maintainance. This article has sought to address the concepts of
Medical Intelligence nationally and internationally, as well as their practical application in the area of
sanitary and epidemiological control and strategic-operational planning. To this end, bibliographic
sources were raised on the subject and a comparison was made between the medical intelligence data
of English-speaking countries in order to draw a parallel with the contents and application of these
concepts in the Brazilian Army.

MEDINTEL) (NORTH ATLANTIC TREATY ORGANIZATION (NATO), 2018).
ativamente do planejamento, visando o melhor apronto operacional, o menor números
