1. OBJETIVO / OBJECTIVE:
O objetivo deste procedimento é definir as
condições para instalação, controle e manuseio das
estacas metálicas helicoidais para fundações da
CHANCE (estacas do tipo “tubo”).
A empresa responsável pelas instalações
reconhece expressamente que a observância de
todos os procedimentos e orientações técnicas
estabelecidas neste documento é essencial para o
êxito na execução da instalação das estacas.
The objective of this procedure is to define
conditions for installation, control and handling of steel
helical foundations from CHANCE (piles like “tubes”).
The company responsible for the premises
expressly recognizes that compliance with all
procedures and technical guidelines established in this
document is essential to the successful execution of
the installation of the piles.

5. MÉTODO / METHOD:
5.1. Condições para o início dos serviços / Conditions for starting the services:
1) O local deve estar livre de qualquer obstáculo
que possa vir a impedir ou prejudicar o
trabalho das equipes;
2) O ponto de instalação deve estar
materializado através de um piquete de
madeira feito previamente pela topografia;
3) A planilha de instalação deve estar
preenchida com os dados de instalação
(profundidade mínima, ângulo de instalação,
torque mínimo e máximo, característica da
estaca a ser instalada). Esta planilha deve ser
solicitada à equipe da CHANCE no momento
do início dos serviços;
4) Todo o material deve estar separado e de
acordo com as especificações de projeto;
5) Todos os equipamentos devem estar
disponíveis para a equipe e em condições de
uso.
5.2. Método Executivo / Executive Method:
A montagem se inicia posicionando-se a seção
guia com o conjunto gerador de torque sobre o ponto
de aplicação e então se aplica rotação até que a
primeira hélice esteja encostada do solo. A partir
deste ponto determina-se o ângulo de instalação da
estaca definido pelo projeto com o auxílio de um
esquadro (feito para o ângulo específico) e um nível
bolha.
Importante: a inclinação deve ser conferida a cada
metro de estaca instalado.
Assim que toda a seção tiver sido instalada, deve-
se deixar um “afloramento” de 50cm para que a
extensão possa ser acoplada. Este passo é repetido
até que se atinja o torque mínimo do projeto. A cada
metro instalado o operador deve registrar na planilha
de controle o torque/pressão registrado.
Importante: no decorrer de toda montagem a equipe
deve estar atenta e verificando as condições de
torque, até que o especificado seja obtido. O torque
de instalação deverá ser a média aritmética obtida
através das três últimas leituras em um intervalo de
30cm cada, ou seja, a média de torque do último
metro de instalação. A média final deve ser maior ou

1) The place have to be free of any obstruction
that can block or prejudice the work of teams;
2) The installation point must be materialized
through a wooden picket done previously by
topography;
3) The installation worksheet must be completed
with the installation data (minimum depth,
installation angle, minimum and maximum
torque, characteristic of the pile to be
installed). This worksheet must be requested
from the team CHANCE at the initiation of
services;
4) All material must be separated and according
to project specifications;
5) All equipment must be available for the team
and in working conditions.
The assembly begins positioning the guide
section together with the generator torque about the
point of application and then applies rotation until
the first plate is near the soil. From this point
determines the angle of installation of the pile
defined by the design with the help of a frame
(made for specific angle) and a bubble level.
Important: the slope should be checked every meter
pile installed.
Once the entire section has been installed, you
must leave a "starter" with 50cm height where
extension can be attached. This step is repeated
until it reaches the minimum torque design. Each
meter installed in the operator must register on
spreadsheet control the torque / pressure recorded.
Important: during the assembly the team should be
alert and checking the conditions of torque, until the
specified is obtained. The installation torque must
be obtained through the arithmetic mean of the last
three readings in a range of 30cm each, in the other
words, the torque average of the last meter of
installation. The final average must be greater than
or equal to specified.

igual a especificada.
Quando atingido o torque de projeto e a altura do
“afloramento” determinado no projeto, a equipe instala
as peças de continuidade determinadas para aquela
estaca instalada (capacete quando o uso de bloco de
concreto, base metálica ou manilha para os tirantes).
Importante: todos os parafusos de conexão devem ser
colocados do mesmo lado e bem apertados.
6. OBERVAÇÕES IMPORTANTES / IMPORTANT OBSERVATIONS:
1) Interrupções durante a instalação:
A instalação deve ser feita de forma contínua
até que as especificações de projeto sejam
atingidas.
2) Solos:
Os solos devem permitir a penetração
adequada das estacas, rochas e matacões
podem desviar ou impedir a instalação de
forma a comprometer o desempenho. Neste
caso a equipe da CHANCE deve ser
consultada.
3) Instalação em locais de grande variação do
nível d’água:
Para a instalação das fundações helicoidais
em regiões onde exista o risco de elevação
do nível d’água, podendo este atingir as
hélices, devem ser aplicadas as opções:
a. Instalar as estacas durante o período
em que o nível d’água esteja alto,
garantindo assim a carga nesta
condição (projeto convencional);
b. Caso não haja a possibilidade de se
instalar as estacas durante o período
de alta do nível d’água (solos de
características específicas previstos
nos projetos), deve-se então ser
adotado um acréscimo de carga
(torque) para que se possa garantir a
capacidade de carga do conjunto. O
acréscimo de carga é definido no
projeto específico para cada situação
e uma equipe da CHANCE deve ser
chamada.
Importante: este procedimento se faz
necessário, pois a elevação do nível
d’água quando atinge as hélices faz com
que o solo perca a capacidade de suporte
dimensionada.
Observação: considera-se nível de água
alto aquele com profundidade suficiente

When reached torque design and height of the
"starter" given in the project, the team sets up parts
of continuity for that particular pile installed (cap
when using concrete block, grillage or shackle
rods).
Important: all connecting bolts should be placed on
the same side and tight.
1) Interruptions during installation:
Installation must be done continuously
until the design specifications are met.
2) Soils:
The soils should allow adequate
penetration of the piles, rocks and
boulders can deflect or prevent installation
so compromising performance. In this
case CHANCE team should be consulted.
3) Installation large water table variation:
For the installation of helical foundations
in regions where there is a risk of raising
the water table, which may reach the
plates, the options should be applied:
a. Install the piles during the period
when the water table is high, thus
ensuring the load in this condition
(conventional design);
b. If there is the possibility of
installing the piles during the high
water table (soils with specific
features provided in the projects),
must then be adopted an
additional load (torque) so that we
can ensure the ability loading the
set. The additional load is defined
in the project-specific situation
and a CHANCE team should be
named.
Important: This procedure is
necessary because the elevation of
the water level when it hits the plates
causes the soil to lose its capacity to
support scaled.
Note: it is considered that high level of
water table enough so that the plates
are submerged. The installation must
have to be done considering a future
rise of water table as seasonality.
