When to use it?
1.To describe habitual or repeated actions:
"I always brush my teeth before going to bed."
PT: "Eu sempre escovo os dentes antes de ir dormir."
2.To talk about general truths or facts:

"The sun rises in the east and sets in the west."
PT: "O sol nasce no leste e se põe no oeste."
3.To express opinions and beliefs:

"I think that learning a new language is important."
PT: "Eu acho que aprender um novo idioma é importante."

HAVE/HAS é um auxiliar! Não tem tradução!
EXAMPLES:

3."We have been married for 5 years."

PT: "Nós estamos casados há 5 anos."
4."They have climbed Mount Everest."

5."I have seen the Grand Canyon and it was breathtaking."
