This study aims at analyzing the importance of safety in dental radiology, and
patient exposure to primary radiation is generally limited to parts of the body,
but the body is somehow exposed to scattered radiation. The contributions of
dose in various organs and performance in general effects for the individual are
almost impossible to assess at present. Thus, studies of the field of radiation
protection are related to the protection of human health and the harmful effects
of ionizing radiation. Their theoretical basis must necessarily include social and
technical judgments, since the main objective is to establish the reasons
justifying the beneficial use of radiation. Thus, it can be conducted only by
scientific considerations. The radiation protection should prevent the occurrence
of deterministic effects and reduce the stochastic effects.

resultar numa surdez total. (MEZADDRI, 2002)

problemas de saúde. ( STEVENS, 2001)
