Agora que você já aprendeu os passos essenciais para o aprendizado dessa lingua tão influente no mundo, procure também
outros meios além da escola para ampliar seu desenvolvimento!
Pode ser através de músicas, filmes, séries, jogos ... enfim, não fique "preso" apenas ao método didático, pois você pode
aprender inglês a qualquer hora e em praticamente qualquer lugar e ainda se divertir!

Idéias que podem ajudá-lo a aprender um segundo idioma.

1. Mantenha uma atitude positiva. Lembre-se de que assim como as pessoas aprendem seu primeiro idioma, qualquer um
pode aprender uma segunda língua.

2. Seja realista. Ao mesmo tempo você deveria conscientizar-se de que aprender um idioma leva tempo e esforço.

3. Aprenda a viver com a incerteza. Como um aprendiz, você não entende tudo o que as pessoas a sua volta estão dizendo
e você tem que, freqüentemente, imaginar o significado de algumas coisas. Se você aceitar isso como parte do processo de
aprendizagem, você aprenderá mais rápido e melhor.

4. Responsabilize-se pelo seu aprendizado. Um professor, livro ou curso, podem ajudá-lo a aprender, mas você será quem
fará tudo isso funcionar. O seu aprendizado depende, antes de qualquer coisa, de seu esforço.

5. Use o dicionário. Use dois dicionários, um bilíngüe outro todo somente no idioma que está estudando. Lembre-se de que
cada idioma tem suas particularidades, portanto, não espere encontrar uma palavra em outros idiomas que signifiquem
exatamente a mesma coisa em seu idioma nativo . Um dicionário no idioma escolhido (sem tradução) lhe dará uma idéia
melhor de como uma palavra ou expressão é realmente usada.

6. Mantenha o ritmo da conversa. Caso você não entenda o que alguém está dizendo, não se desespere. Tente entender o
contexto e continue conversando. Se você estiver realmente confuso, peça que a pessoa repita o que disse. Continuando a
conversa você poderá entender o contexto após alguns minutos, tendo maior possibilidade de comunicação e ter uma
evolução mais significativa no aprendizado.

7. Tire vantagem de seus erros. Não se preocupe com erros – todos os cometem (até mesmo em seu idioma nativo). Você
pode aprender muito com seus erros. Quando não tiver certeza, pergunte se o que você disse está correto ou se existe uma
maneira melhor de expressar sua idéia.

8. Peça para ser corrigido. As pessoas por medo de ofendê-lo ou por entender o que você diz não corrigem seus erros.
Peça para ser corrigido, e enfatize isso sempre e diga que é muito importante para o seu aprendizado. Assim as pessoas
não ficarão constrangidas em corrigi-lo e você aprenderá muito mais rápido.

9. Ouça tudo. Assista a programas de TV, a filmes sem legenda, enfim, tudo que você puder ouvir no idioma que quiser
aprender é bem vindo. Aprendemos muito quando ouvimos, sem mesmo percebermos. É como se estivéssemos ouvindo
exemplos o tempo todo. Temos a tendência a repetir frases e expressões que ouvimos. Como as crianças aprendem a
falar?

10. Acesse a Internet. Se você tiver um computador conectado à internet, tire proveito disso. Explore o máximo que puder.
Hoje temos acesso a mídias do mundo todo, jornais, revistas, rádios, etc. Temos fácil acesso a informação de outros
países, de forma atualizada. Além de estarmos aprendendo um outro idioma, ainda estamos nos informando sobre
assuntos diversos.
