Your policy wording
This policy wording contains important information about Car Hire Excess Insurance. It’s essential that you read it, to
understand how this insurance works and what it covers.
Also, please read your certificate of insurance (emailed to you at the time of purchasing the Insurance). Together,
these documents form the basis of your insurance contract.
Anyone purchasing this policy does so on the basis of the limited general information we have provided. We do not
provide any personal advice or recommendations about the suitability of this policy for you/your circumstances.
Car Hire Excess Insurance is designed to refund a range of charges, including damage costs, that you pay under
your rental agreement with the car rental company, should there be an incident involving your rental vehicle. Note
that this policy will not pay the charges for you – after you have paid them in full, it will refund you in full.
www.rentalcars.com/customer-service or https://cars.booking.com/customer-service
Alternatively, you can hit ‘Manage booking’ on the respective booking website, access your booking, and then hit
‘Make a Full Protection Insurance claim’.
To process your claim, we’ll need PDFs of documents showing that:
• you’ve been charged for something that this insurance covers
• you’ve paid the charge(s)
It’s vital that you submit your claim no more than 3 months after you are charged for the repairs (or other costs) that
you’re claiming for.
