ABSTRACT
The main objective of the present study is to discuss the All-on-four implant
technique, developed by the Portuguese author, Paulo Maló in the 2000s, this has
been one of the main treatment alternatives that promotes oral rehabilitation for
patients with bone resorption. severe, where it can receive the implant without the
need for bone load graft. The research proposal was to demonstrate the stages of
application of the technique, as well as the main advantages and disadvantages
presented in the analyzed materials. For a better range of information about the
study, the search method used was bibliographic research. As a result, it was
possible to conclude that the technique has been widely applied, with a high success
rate in rehabilitation through implantation of four (4) implants in edentulous maxilla.
Finally, the work contemplated the initial search that aimed to highlight the advantage
of using the All-on-four technique in edentulous patient implants, enabling total
restoration of the teeth, offering quality of life through masticatory recovery, self-
esteem, also evidencing the prompt recovery after surgical procedure since the
technique allows for a shorter recovery time compared to other available techniques,
as this type of implant eliminates the need for bone filling.
