Biografia de Stan Lee

Stanley Martin Lieber was born in Manhattan, New York, United States, on
December 28, 1922, the son of the Jack and Celia Lieber, both immigrant
Jews from Romania. His father, a tailor, and his mother, housewife had yet
another son, Larry, born in 1931 (and who as well as the older brother also
made a career in the comic book world). Lee's family was relatively poor,
having lived much of his childhood and adolescence in a "room-and-room"
in the Bronx, on the outskirts of New York, where he and his brother
shared the tiny, of the apartment and the parents slept on a sofa bed in the
living room. During adolescence, Lee studied at DeWitt Clinton High
School, also located in the Bronx.

From a young age, Lee liked to write, and his dream during adolescence
was to write a great novel one day. Smart, Lee graduated from school
relatively early, at age 15, having worked writing obituaries in newspapers;
delivering sandwiches to offices at Rockefeller Center; working as an
office boy for a manufacturing factory and as a "little lantern" of the Rivoli
Theater on Broadway.

Romênia. Seu pai, um alfaiate, e sua mãe, dona-de-casa, tiveram ainda mais um filho,
Larry, nascido em 1931 (e que assim como o irmão mais velho também fez carreira no
mundo dos quadrinhos). A família de Lee era relativamente pobre, tendo ele morado
boa parte da infância e da adolescência em um "quarto-e-sala" na região do Bronx, na
periferia de Nova Iorque, em que ele e o irmão dividiam o diminuto e único quarto do
apartamento e os pais dormiam em um sofá-cama na sala. Durante a adolescência, Lee
estudou na DeWitt Clinton High School, também localizado no Bronx.

Desde pequeno, Lee gostava de escrever, e seu sonho durante a adolescência era
escrever um dia um grande romance. Inteligente, Lee se formou na escola relativamente
cedo, aos 15 anos, tendo trabalhado escrevendo obituários em jornais; entregando
sanduíches para escritórios no Rockefeller Center; trabalhando de Office boy para uma
fábrica manufatureira e como "lanterninha" do Teatro Rivoli na Broadway.
