Can e could são verbos modais que podemos usar para expressar habilidade,
possibilidade e pedir licença. Eles funcionam como verbos auxiliares e são
colocados antes do verbo principal da frase.
O verbo can é um verbo modal que usamos para falar de que algo ou alguém
pode fazer algo, por exemplo:
Por outro lado, usamos o could para expressar que uma coisa é possível ou a
possibilidade que algo aconteça:
● It could be nice.
Isso poderia ser legal.
● You could travel.
Você poderia viajar.
Ou para pedir permissão de uma forma mais amável e formal que usamos com
o can:

Para construir uma frase negativa com esses verbos, basta acrescentar a
conjunção not depois do verbo modal.
Para fazer uma pergunta usando alguns destes verbos, simplesmente devemos
mudar a ordem do sujeito e o verbo modal:
May e Might são outros verbos modais que usamos para nos referir a algo que
pode acontecer, mas que não temos certeza.
Por serem verbos auxiliares, eles nunca podem estar na frase como um verbo
principal, mas como o que antecede ou o condiciona, por exemplo:

A principal diferença existente entre estes dois verbos modais é que também
podemos usar might para falar de solicitações feitas no passado.
Para fazer frases negativas com might e may, você só precisa acrescentar a
conjunção not entre o verbo modal e o o verbo principal da frase, assim:

Usamos este verbo para falar sobre as coisas que devemos fazer. Por
exemplo, quando nos referimos a uma lei ou uma instrução que é muito
importante cumprir.
She is the best student in her class. Her grades must be excellent.
Ela é a melhor aluna da sua turma. Suas notas devem ser excelentes.
2. Queremos recomendar algo de forma enfática ou insistente. Por
exemplo:

Por outro lado, usamos should quando falamos de algo que é certo fazer em
uma situação particular, embora não seja uma obrigação.
Por esse motivo, podemos usar esse modal para dar conselhos. Por exemplo:
● For tonight's dinner, I have these two dresses. Which one should I
wear.
Para o jantar desta noite eu tenho esses dois vestidos. Qual deles eu
devo usar?
● Should I call him?
Eu deveria ligar para ele?

Notice how we divide the year into two parts. This is the form for year up to
1999. For the year 2000 and on, we say two thousand (2000), two thousand
and one (2001), two thousand and two (2002) etc.
Here is a list of cardinal numbers in English

* Instead of saying One Hundred, you

● 18 - eighteen them into groups of three which are
● 19 - nineteen divided by a comma. e.g. 5000000 (5
● 20 - twenty million) is normally written as 5,000,000

● 23 - twenty-three
● 30 - thirty We normally say 'zero' for the number
● 40 - forty '0'.
● 50 - fifty
● 60 - sixty BUT when we give our telephone
● 70 - seventy number, we often say O like the name
● 80 - eighty of the letter O.

● 100 - one hundred* e.g. 505-1023 = five-O-five, one-O-two-
● 101 - one hundred and one three
● 200 - two hundred
● 300 - three hundred
● 1000 - one thousand
● 1,000,000 - one million

Ordinal Numbers
You can normally create Ordinal numbers by adding -TH to the end of a
Cardinal Number.
For the name of a king or queen in written English, Roman numerals are used =
Henry VIII
but in Spoken English you would say Henry the Eighth.
