Simple present (be and have)
O simple present (presente simples) é o tempo verbal utilizado
para as ações que ocorrem no tempo presente do indicativo.
Além disso, os verbos “be” e “have” nesse tempo verbal ajudam
a indicar características e estados permanentes ou
temporários de diversas coisas, tais como pessoas, animais,
objetos etc. Veja os exemplos da atividade anterior:
“His hair is black.”
(O cabelo dele é preto.)
“He has curly hair.”
(Ele tem cabelo encaracolado.) Continua...
Na primeira frase, temos o verbo “be” (ser/estar) e, na segunda frase,
temos o verbo “have” (ter), ambos sendo conjugados para um sujeito na
terceira pessoa do singular (he, it e she). Esses verbos apresentam formas
diferentes ao serem conjugados no simple present de acordo com o sujeito
a que está relacionado. Observe:

I am. I have.
You are. You have.
He/She/It is. He/She/It has.
They are. They have.
We are. We have.
You are. You have. Continua...
Para usar o verbo “be” na forma negativa, basta incluir a palavra “not” (não)
após o verbo. Já o verbo “have” necessitará dos auxiliares “do” e “does”
mais a palavra “not” das seguintes maneiras:
I am not. We are not. He does not have.
You are not. They are not. It does not have.
She is not. I do not have. We do not have.
He is not. You do not have. They do not have.
It is not. She does not have.

OBS.: no simple present, quando utilizados os auxiliares “do” ou

“does”, o verbo sendo conjugado permanece em sua forma base. Continua...
