Possessive Case: Caso Possessivo. Utiliza-se para dizer a quem pertence algo. Exprime
posse e é indicado por ‘s ou apenas ‘. Aparece colado ao nome do indivíduo que tem algo a
seu pertence, ou seja, primeiro aparece o nome da pessoa que tem posse de algo, depois o
‘s ou o ‘, e só depois o que lhe pertence.

Outros exemplos: John’s bike; The girl’s name; The students’ book.
Atenção: Aos nomes próprios acabados em -s deve-se acrescentar também o ‘s.
Nos casos em que há mais que um possuidor, apenas o último nome leva a marca
do possessivo.
