HIGHER EDUCATION VOCATIONAL COURSES

Os Cursos Técnicos Superiores Profissionais (TeSP) são uma nova modalidade de ciclo de
estudos, regulada pelo Decreto-lei n.º 43/2014, com a duração de quatro semestres letivos
(dois anos) a que correspondem 120 unidades de crédito (ECTS), já disponível na ESSSM.
Os titulares de um TeSP podem concorrer a um ciclo de estudos de licenciatura pela via dos
Concursos Especiais de Acesso ao Ensino Superior.

These courses are a new modality of study cycle, regulated by Decree-Law number 43/2014,
with a four semester (2 years) duration, corresponding to 120 credit units (ECTS), already
available in Santa Maria Health School.
Assignees of this course may apply for graduated study cycle through the Special Contingent
of access to Higher.

GERONTOLOGIA E CUIDADOS DE LONGA DURAÇÃO

GERONTOLOGY AND LONG TERM HEALTHCARE

O curso Técnico Superior Profissional de Gerontologia e cuidados de longa duração visa

formar técnicos superiores qualificados para desempenharem funções diversas na área dos
cuidados, bem como exercerem a coordenação e chefia de equipas e serviços especializados.

This course on gerontology and long term healthcare aims to train higher graduated technicians
to perform a range of varied functions in the healthcare area, and to exercise coordination and
management of specialized service teams.

APRESENTAÇÃO

PRESENTATION

O curso Técnico Superior Profissional de Gerontologia e cuidados de longa duração visa

formar técnicos superiores qualificados para desempenharem funções diversas na área dos
cuidados, bem como exercerem a coordenação e chefia de equipas e serviços
especializados.
O curso foi desenhado em conjunto com os operadores do mercado e corresponde às mais
atualizadas exigências de preparação de profissionais desta área.
O público alvo é constituído por jovens estudantes à procura de uma formação com futuro,
polivalente, humanista e tecnicamente rigorosa e por profissionais interessados em se
requalificarem ou aumentarem o seu nível de formação.

The course on gerontology and long-term healthcare aims to train higher graduated
technicians to perform a range of varied functions in the healthcare area, and to exercise
coordination and management of specialized service teams.
The course was designed together with market agents and corresponds to the most updated
requirements in what concerns the training of professionals in this specific area.
The target audience is embodied by young students searching for a graduation with opened
perspectives, versatile, humanist and technically rigorous and by professionals interested in
re-classifying and increasing their training level.

a) Os titulares de um curso de ensino secundário ou de habilitação legalmente equivalente;

b) Os que tenham sido aprovados nas provas especialmente adequadas destinadas a
avaliar a capacidade para a frequência do ensino superior dos maiores de 23 anos,
realizadas, para o curso em causa, nos termos do Decreto -Lei n.º 64/2006, de 21 de março;
c) Os titulares de um diploma de especialização tecnológica, de um diploma de técnico
superior profissional ou de um grau de ensino superior, que pretendam a sua requalificação
profissional.
