entrar em contato com o Professor se precisarem de um da escola!). Deve-se

PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS

Affirmative:
He has (he's) been missing you.

Negative:
He has not (hasn't) been missing you.

Interrogative:
Has he been missing you?

Interrogative-negative:
Has he not been missing you? / Hasn't he been missing you?

USO DO PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS: Enfatiza a continuidade e

frequência de uma ação iniciada no passado e que se prolonga até o presente:
I HAVE BEEN PRACTICING MY ENGLISH. Estou praticando / tenho estado
praticando meu inglês.
SHE HAS BEEN VISITING HER FRIEND EVERY NIGHT. Ela está visitando / tem
estado visitando seu amigo toda noite.

O Present Perfect Continuous não deve ser confundido com o Present

Continuous. Compare:

SHE HAS BEEN WORKING ON HER PROJECT LATELY. Ela está trabalhando /
tem estado trabalhando em seu projeto ultimamente.

SHE IS WORKING ON HER PROJECT NOW. Ela está trabalhando em seu projeto
agora. (Neste caso, a ação está acontecendo no momento da fala.)

PRACTICE 01: Choose the correct option in each sentence:

a) He is tired. He (‘S BEEN DRIVING / ‘S DRIVEN) for about four hours now!

b) Thank you for your offer, but I (‘VE DECIDED / ‘VE BEEN DECIDING) not to
accept.

PRACTICE 02: Complete each mini dialogue using the verbs given in either the
Present Perfect Simple OR the Present Perfect Continuous according to the
example:

A: (you hear) HAVE YOU HEARD the news? B: What news?

A: Someone (rob) HAS ROBBED the bank at the end of the street!

a) A: I (call) ‘ve been calling Carol all day, but there’s no answer.
B: I expect she (go) ‘s gone swimming with her friends.

b) A: What’s the matter? You look very tired!

B: I am! I (study) ‘ve been studying all day, and I (not finish) haven’t
finished yet.
A: Oh well, time for a break!

c) A: Spider-Man is on the theater? (see) Have you seen it?
