O uso de migalhas na terapia é uma arte. Nem todas as migalhas são criadas da mesma forma e
suas diferentes características diferentes permitem uma infinidade de opções para ajudar as
crianças a aumentar sua habilidade de alimentação, prazer e competência sensorial.
Transições de textura
As migalhas podem ajudar as crianças a se sentirem confortáveis com as transições de textura dos
alimentos. Muitas crianças sensíveis e cautelosas gostam de purês lisos, mas NÃO puros
texturizados, ou gostam de purês variados, mas se preocupam com grumos. Eles podem gostar de
alimentos úmidos suaves, mas não de alimentos crocantes.
Para as crianças que tem preferência pela facilidade da comida comercial para bebês, as migalhas
podem engrossar e mudar gradualmente a textura. A migalha pode engrossar mais (ex: biscoitos
finos que absorvem a umidade) ou adicionar textura mais perceptível (“migalhas” de coco
processado em alimentos que permanecem firmes).
As texturas podem mudar ligeiramente com algumas migalhas em pó ou, obviamente, com muitas
migalhas de granola. As migalhas podem estar dentro ou em cima dos alimentos.
Como preparar migalhas?
Os crocantes podem ser esmagados com os dedos, criando migalhas mais finas a mais ásperas ou
até mesmo mais irregulares. Usamos rolos de macarrão, processadores de alimentos, moedores de
grãos de café, raladores e colheres para esmagar.
