Aula sobre Preposições de Localização

Preposições de localização em inglês são usadas para descrever a posição de objetos, pessoas
ou lugares em relação a outros elementos em uma frase. Elas ajudam a responder a perguntas
como "Onde está algo?" ou "Onde algo está acontecendo?"

Preposições de Localização Básicas:

1 . In (em, dentro de): Usamos "in" para indicar que algo está localizado dentro de um espaço
limitado.

The cat is in the box. (O gato está dentro da caixa.)

She is sitting in the car. (Ela está sentada dentro do carro.)

2 . On (sobre, em cima de): "On" é usado para indicar que algo está em cima de uma superfície
ou em um local específico.

The book is on the table. (O livro está sobre a mesa.)

The keys are on the counter. (As chaves estão sobre o balcão.)

3. At (em, junto a, no local de): "At" é usado para descrever a presença em um local específico.

We will meet at the restaurant. (Vamos nos encontrar no restaurante.)

He is waiting at the bus stop. (Ele está esperando na parada de ônibus.)

4 . Under (embaixo de): Usamos "under" para indicar que algo está localizado abaixo de algo
ou dentro de algo.

The cat is hiding under the bed. (O gato está se escondendo embaixo da cama.)

The keys are under the pillow. (As chaves estão debaixo do travesseiro.)

5 . Between (entre): "Between" é usado para indicar que algo está localizado no espaço
intermediário entre dois outros objetos ou lugares.

The park is between the library and the school. (O parque está entre a biblioteca e a escola.)

She is sitting between her two friends. (Ela está sentada entre suas duas amigas.)
Uso Avançado das Preposições de Localização:

1. Next to (ao lado de): Esta expressão é usada para descrever algo que está
imediatamente ao lado de outra coisa.

The restaurant is next to the movie theater. (O restaurante está ao lado do cinema.)

I'm sitting next to my sister. (Estou sentado ao lado da minha irmã.)

2. Behind (atrás de): "Behind" é usado para indicar que algo está localizado na parte
traseira de outra coisa.

The car is parked behind the building. (O carro está estacionado atrás do prédio.)

She's hiding behind the tree. (Ela está se escondendo atrás da árvore.)

3. In front of (na frente de): Esta expressão descreve algo que está localizado na parte
dianteira de outra coisa.

The playground is in front of the school. (O parquinho está na frente da escola.)

I'm standing in front of the stage. (Estou de pé na frente do palco.)

4. Among (entre, no meio de um grupo): "Among" é usado quando algo ou alguém está
no meio de um grupo ou conjunto.

She is the tallest among her friends. (Ela é a mais alta entre suas amigas.)

He found a rare coin among his collection. (Ele encontrou uma moeda rara entre sua coleção.)
