Curriculum Vitae
Por exemplo: Obtain a position that utilizes.

12
Let´s Practice!
1- Mark T (true) or F (false) according to Janet’s resumé. Correct the false sentences.

5. AULA 4
Most of the students agreed that e-mail is good for business communication.
Others pointed out that an e-mail address is required for many sites, and that social
media and e-mail pair work well together to cover informal and formal communication
needs.
The majority of those who believe e-mail is dying say that e-mail is not fast
enough and isn’t mobile. They don’t realize that phones can handle e-mail alerts along
with Facebook updates. This misconception may stem from the fact that the majority of
smartphones users are not in high school.
Many students only took their current use of e-mail into account when responding
and didn’t discuss the possibility of future uses. However, some did mention that e-mail
is currently important for business and professional communications.
(Adaptado de http://www.aweber.com/blog/email-marketing/teens-take-on-email.htm.)
18
a. ( ) E-mail is popular in business.
b. ( ) E-mail is required to access my sites.
c. ( ) E-mail is a “grown up” thing.
d. ( ) E-mail is part of communication evolution.
e. ( ) E-mail and social media complete each other.
f. ( ) E-mail is very formal.
g. ( ) E-mail can’t be accessed by mobile devices.
Tudo dependerá do
seu destinatário e dos seus objetivos. Assim como em português, em inglês utilizamos
tanto a linguagem formal quanto a informal.
a família e amigos.
presencial, a famosa job interview, neste caso, utilizamos a linguagem formal.

Simply signing up for an account, quickly filling in the blanks and then letting your profile
remain dormant won’t do you any good. Of the many elements that make up a strong
profile, two of the most important ones are your professional headline and “About”
section, explain career experts at Harvard University’s Office for Alumni Affairs and
Career Advancement. Together, they make up what’s known as your “LinkedIn profile
summary,” and it’s one of the first things people see when they visit your page. Your
professional headline is especially important because it’s the text that gets displayed in
search results for both Google and LinkedIn.
