RESUMO
ABSTRACT
Gestation includes a period of great change for women. Until the 90s, the physical
exercises were seen as villains for the health of the mother and the fetus, and the
same were discouraged from practicing them. Through these data, this article aims to
analyze whether during pregnancy physical exercises bring benefits and what are
they, what risks or contraindications for pregnant women, and which exercises are
best for this period. We conducted a literature review study of available literature on
virtual and conventional libraries and through this we can conclude that the exercises
are beneficial for pregnant women, such as risk reduction of gestational diabetes
(which affects about 5% of pregnant women) improves venous return, reduced
postural changes and consequently the low back pain, among others. But there are
some medical conditions that pregnant women may be advised to not perform
physical exercise (absolute contraindications), or perform but with some restrictions
or medical considerations (relative contraindications). The exercises most suitable
during pregnancy are aerobic, water, resistance and stretching exercises.

Exercício Aeróbico
Exercícios aquáticos
natação e a hidroginástica.
articulação do joelho.
