ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder) is a behavioral disorder whose diagnosis is verified in childhood
and is characterized by the presence of the triad of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. The
main cause of ADHD is genetics and changes in the neurotransmitters (dopamine and
norepinephrine) that make connections between neurons in the frontal region of the brain. The
objective of this study was to carry out a search in the literature in order to know the possible
forms of physiotherapeutic intervention in the treatment of TDH in children. This is a systematic
review of the literature by consulting online databases to collect information. The study
demonstrated that There are some forms of physiotherapeutic approaches, such as the
Psychomotor Stimulation Program (PEP), which help children with ADHD to minimize hyperactive
behavior and organize psychomotor skills, in addition to organizing emotions, cognitions and
perceptions, in addition, through passive stretching exercises of the lower limbs improve motor
coordination, balance, concentration and, consequently, postural correction, however,
physiotherapy has not yet played an effective role in monitoring this treatment.
