ABSTRACT
This present research aimed at seeking for techniques and methods in an ethnobotany perspective
related to conservation of medicinal plants developed in different regions. These proposals were
based on the vision of the participation of local communities as the fundamental point for
conservation and sustainable use of resources in each region. Among the papers researched were
indicated efforts to the ex situ conservation through biotechnologic research, and especially, for the
in situ conservation with the implementation of areas for the conservation and cultivation of
medicinal plants and the implementation of agroforestry systems, beyond studies about the priority
species for the local conservation.
