ABSTRACT
In Brazil, Health and Safety Regulation 7 (NR-7) establishes the obligation
for employers to elaborate and implement an Occupational Health Control
Program (PCMSO), with the objective of promoting and preserving the
health of all their workers. As part of the PCMSO, a set of specific clinical
and complementary tests should be established for the early detection and
prevention of illnesses or disturbances to workers' health, for each group of
workers in the company. Tables I and II of NR-7 require mandatory
examinations according to the risk to which the worker is exposed.
However, many requirements related to Occupational Health Medical
Control are expressed in regulations other than NR-7. Such fact can make
it difficult to comply with these requirements due to the unawareness of its
existence, as they are scattered among the other 35 NRs in effect. On the
other hand, with the implementation of ‘eSocial’, a federal government
project to gather information on work arrangements, relevant data regarding
